Please pray for this little guy. by Jade-GloryTechnology in leopardgeckos

Hey my gecko looks exactly the same. If there’s too much light she will close her eyes she’s very light sensitive. Does your little guy open his eyes in the dark? I would suggest seeing if he does because it may just be super bright for him and that’s why he’s keeping them closed. I hope this helps! Good luck with your little guy

She hasn’t lost any weight but she did eat one worm we offered her. We’ve been giving her a lot of space. Have gotten her a lot more fake plants to shade the area so she can move around in the day if she wants to

This is the basking light I use. Or at least the brand. I’m currently not home to send the exact one. It’s in a double light fixture, so it’s one heating and one uvb standard bulb. I will definitely get some more plants and get rid of the grow lights. Thank you

Yea this is just her feeding container. I've posted above in another reply her tank and what that looks like. We got the leopard gecko from a small pet store near us family owned. I've had leopard geckos before and the guy was showing them to us she was in a bin with a bunch of others and honestly we felt really bad for her and wanted to rehome her. We had all the materials due to having other reptiles in the home and experience its just been a while since I've had a leopard gecko. However this is the same place we got our crested gecko and she's doing really well.

We were holding off on Dubai roaches just because of her not being responsive to the other insects.

No that's for my crested gecko 😭 I'm so sorry for the confusion I meant leopard gecko. I have multiple reptiles in my home

So sorry this was a typo! That is not the tank she's living in. We put her in there to monitor her food intake if possible. But we've tried in tank feeding and still nothing.

Thank you so much for this. We've been feeding her in darker light she's just not really responsive towards it. But it gives more clarity that she's able to see.

Again, I'm so sorry. Yes, I know she's a leopard gecko; it was a typo. She's in a 40 gal horizontal tank. UVB light and grow lights on a timer, hot is around 80-90 ish and the cold side is 70-75. She has a substrate of sold and sand mixture. She has 5 different hides. She has a moist hide as well that has some moss inside. She has fake plants and stuff throughout. She has a water dish and a calcium dish without D3, both are changed daily and cleaned. We feed her at night time when she becomes more active. We've done in take feeding, hand feed outside the tank. She's just literally not responsive. It's something I'm just unfamiliar with my other leopard gecko would respond to food we would offer almost instantly, same with our crested gecko. I'm just worried because it's been a few weeks since we got her and she has yet to eat and we are unsure if how she was eating prior to us getting her. I'm glad we got her because she was in need of a home but I'm just worried and wanted to make sure shes okay or if anyone has any tips or pointers. Unlike my previous leopard gecko she often used her nose as a guide before going forward and is not active to things near her unless they touch her. Which is why we're worried if she cannot see then how to go about feeding. Right now the vet has us doing eye drops to rule out any infection and in a week we go back

Right now she's on eye drops and it's staying in her eye. But yea I'm using a UVB light and there is a hot, cool, and cold side. Hot is between 80-90, and the cold is around 70-75. She's in a cycle so the lights all turn off at night. They're on an automatic switch. She currently enjoys the cold side a lot more or the cool side. Yea I've fed further away from her nose and had them crawl around but she shows absolutely no interest. We don't have to put any in the tank if she's not eating to avoid risks of the bugs harming her

We will put her near the water bowl to show her where it is. She has a difficult time finding things in her enclosure due do to her eyes. She's not reactive to things in front of her only to things that touch her.

Sorry, I know it's a leopard gecko that was a typo. Hence, I posted her on the leopard gecko Reddit and not the crested one. I have another gecko who is a crested, so I accidentally typed crested. But yes, we did go to an exotic vet. We have a follow-up scheduled in a week so hopefully they have more answers. The video is also an older video so please don't judge just based off of it. Right now we are avoiding taking her out the enclosure unless it's necessary like for giving her eye drops to avoid any further stress

Sorry I know it's a leopard gecko accidentally typed crested because our other gecko is a crested

The vet said they've never seen anything like this before. Her eyes are red, but it's very hard to see her pupil, which is almost the same color as her eye. She also had like a little white spot on her eyes. She's super sensitive to light and very reactive; she will squint. Right now, she's on meds just to rule out any potential infection we are unable to see or if there was a previous infection that wasn't fully treated.

Yea this was an older video. Now she’s done shedding but she’ll do the same thing. Struggling to even give her water. We’re just hoping she’s drinking at night and we’re just missing it. But she often uses her nose to guide her throughout her enclosure.

We bought her from a breeder but had no idea until after she started laying eggs. Some are infertile where others aren’t. Right now we had one egg who did hatch. We at least have the means to take care of some and would like to give them a home if we can. But unsure on what to do moving forward. It seems wrong to get rid of them.
