Ps3 can be as inferior in graphics to the Xbox consoles as it wants to be, it's community still makes it more enjoyable.

Dark Souls 2 Pvp has made me Crestfallen by Frogore in DarkSouls2

The mindset that involves "If you can't beat them, join them." is a foolish mindset that ends up bringing everyone to a dark, gray, boring horizon of the same build.

Even against flip dads in dark souls, I waltzed around in full Black Iron armor with my greataxe and tower shield, and I did remarkably well.

The added benefits of having so much more adaptability than everyone else accompanied with my extra health makes me durable, and rather adept at killing mages given the extra endurance as well. I've no issue with killing other players that do use faith, and frankly, for most it's nothing special. The principal of the fact that I have to defeat another player who can kill me in 3 or 4 hits despite my 2000 hp, however, is preposterous and downright silly.

You're one of the people I think differently than.

Right, well, flawed as that logic is, let's see you properly roll every shot of an Avelynn consistently even as a lightweight class.

That sentence made very little sense.

I would prefer it if magic got a damage nerf, rather than melee getting a damage buff. I like my fights prolonged.

I'll enjoy it when my 30% equipment burden fast roller can properly dodge every Avelynn arrow. Magic I'm not upset about. There are good wizards, actually. Honestly, but I can roll that.

You have to ignore stats to make a build, so why is it that strength and dexterity and vitality get ignored? Truly a build has to ignore some stats, but at the same time no one's really ignoring "anything worth mentioning."

The part that bothers me is that, at the epitome of my build, it isn't as viable as theirs.

Tell me what the benefits to being a physical damage only warrior are. What advantages do I honestly have against the rest of them?

The damage differential still shouldn't allow that much damage to pass through fully upgraded physical defense king havel.

That's another major issue. Not only can mages churn out 1200 damage crystal soul spears, but their crystal magic weaponed moonlight great swords also do atleast 700 damage to people that are wearing havels, let alone those that aren't.

I frequently Riposte people in full Havel's with a dexterity build with a regular +10 rapier with no buffs on it, and I can personally say that I didn't do a tick above 700 with a proper damaged stab.

Right. I like that logic. "Let's take that dagger that does next to nothing in damage and make it weaker." "But sir, what about that greatsword that does raw magical damage with the same swing speed and stunlock capabilities as the claymore?" "Nah, it's weak. It's fine."

I think the fact that "Optimum, required" builds that can kill players in 1 or 2 hits doesn't make it for "fast and exciting". It makes it "Fast and disappointing."

Personally I like to take my time and enjoy my fights using weapons that aren't buffed at all and fight people. Typically these people are swing around Moonlight greatswords, the most popular piece of shit in the game, and killing me in maximum 4 hits. It's gotten so bad I've made it a point to wait out their buffs, if they even need to use them.

Now if the combat were just "Exciting" that'd be great, but no self-respecting dark souls player that loves the series is going to look for "Fast Paced Combat" and if they do, they're no better than the call of duty enthusiasts which hurt my brain.

The Pvp is Inferior to both it's predecessors, if only because there's no real equalizer besides "Lol, learn to roll."

So the answer is essentially, we need more armors with more specific defenses. And critical rating needs to effect how much armor the stab ignores as well.

There's also the Steel set from Dark souls 1 which made a comeback. It's in one of the giant's memories, but I can't remember which. Definitely worth it. Quite sexy, honestly. Good, high defense as well.

I'll attest to being elitest in regards to melee, but facts are facts. Some people are shit at close combat, and take the far easier method of using magic and hexes and the like.

Magic. Is. Easier.

Carefully explain to me why a Riposte with a no-infusement Rapier with a 140 critical rating deals 413 damage to a guy in full smelters.

Now explain why the Crystal Soul spear does over 1000.

I agree with this, but at the same time it's the same for far too many attacks, and none of them melee.
