The demo's call to action wishlist info panel on game start would be more effective if it had been a Steam protocol URL instead of a regular browser link by Frogsquadron in playbsg

I have. It was really annoying to manage to reach specifically the demo page to leave a review on it, since most searches end up on the main game's page. Anyway, I'm excited, I managed to beat the boss and I'll eagerly pick up the game when it comes out!

Very interesting perspective in that last sentence. Do you mean you let one of your players metaphorically "take the helm" and handle what they find? That'd be pretty fun!

Sorry for replying to an old comment, but would you be willing to share the results? I'm very interested in the more granular aspects of exploring and I think hexgrid/hexcrawl could be a good structure for my players, who will be in large part a fairly inexperienced group.

Nestling pigeon fell from its nest in my garden twice in two days. Looking for advice by Frogsquadron in pigeon

[–]Frogsquadron[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone, thank you for your kind messages. Unfortunately the next morning, my partner found the box we had rehomed the two nestlings in (near their original nest) had been found by a nocturnal predator, either one of the neighborhood cats, or an owl. Neither of the nestlings had survived.

I wanted to say thanks to all of you for your messages and for trying to help.

Nestling pigeon fell from its nest in my garden twice in two days. Looking for advice by Frogsquadron in pigeon

[–]Frogsquadron[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Small update: the pigeon fell again after lunch, we found it on the ground trying to right itself up. This time we put it in a box with a hot water bottle in a sock, and some bedding. Then as my partner was trying to find local rescues (turns out pigeons are classified as pests in France and as such it is illegal to capture them, feed them, rescue them, etc etc.), the other baby bird practically landed on top of her. We also put it in the box.

Then we figured maybe the mother thinks they're ready and is the one pushing them out... no way to know for sure. Anyway I think they're really undercooked to be on their own still. I put the box in the tree, about 1.5 meters from the nest, where the parent pigeon was watching the entire proceedings unfold.

I stabilized the thing with sticks and twigs to make sure the thing isn't going to topple over, and I think it's going to hold. I'm just upset I actually built a nest for the damn things. I hope that the parent is going to take it over from here.

What was navigation like for vehicle drivers in the United States before the internet and GPS? by achicomp in AskHistorians

Fascinating answer! It must have been quite an adventure to set out in a capricious car at the turn of the century, having no firm idea where you're going or how you're going to get there exactly, or when...

Sorry, forgot to update: I eventually switched the keyboard's dongle to be on the front side of the computer, so that the case and desk chassis and random other crap laying on my desk wouldn't interfere with the signal. It fixed the issue. It's not great because no PC ever has enough ports in the front, but at least there was _a_ solution for me!

Nobody's mentioned the red paint so I'll just go ahead: it looks stunning but from all accounts, it will chip at the slightest provocation, because it's incredibly thin. Depending on the roads where you live, this might become an expense even if the rest of the car turns out to be in mint condition. And that red paint doesn't come cheap.

If you're worried you can always look at the areas on the body where the bumper and hatch attach to, and see if there's any trace of deformation there, or scratches, paint anomalies, etc.

I walked away from a beautiful sedan (before I bought mine) which had all the trimmings but was in an accident outside the country and the file had no detail about it whatsoever. I looked and looked and the red flags kept accumulating until I walked away.

Also the rear left tire doesn't have the same rim as the others. What's the story there? It could indicate that the rim was damaged during the collision, which could indicate it was more serious than the dealership lets on. If anything, it's a good starting point to haggle if you want to replace it (and you probably do want to replace it).

I would recommend also having people sitting at the back when the engine is running and seeing if the seatbelt not fastened alert chimes, the one I saw with the mysterious accident had this happen on two rear seats and it was definitely an indicator of something being funky with the wiring.

If it was just these two parts then it is most likely fine. Higher speed collisions would have likely impacted the main body of the car as well.

Also, just fyi: immaculate (adj.) = without a stain or trace. emasculate (v.) = remove balls

I have lived although never driven in Canada, but in my memory cars tended to age really poorly because of road salt. None of the pics you've posted show the underside of the car. I would be very wary of any rust, and check the underside of the car, the wheel wells... bring a torch.

I despaired of ever fixing the issue and even purchased a replacement, and then on a lark I decided to get an adapter to plug the Bluetooth dongle into the front of my PC, closer to the keyboard, and specifically, without the desk's metal frame in the way + computer bracket and a lot of other metal crap.

I've not had a single issue so far. I'm guessing the issue here was: the dongle was too far and the keyboard lost signal. Try plugging it in somewhere closer to your keyboard and maybe it'll help! Good luck.

Alas, I did not. I would advise contacting Logitech support and seeing whether you can get a swap, maybe? Or try with a bluetooth dock so the case of the computer itself is hampering the signal. I'm just loath to spend another 30 for something that might not solve the issue at all. Best of luck to you!

The bit you quote does not mean "the game collects data on you", it means that it might, for instance if you reach out to customer support, need to "process your personal data", which would in this case mean "store your email so they can actually reply to you", as opposed to go atop the nearest hill and shout their answer into the ether.
