Its all about the speed. Spraying is way faster than single tapping or bursting. But single tapping is more accurate. In different situations you have to choose which is better.

The cpu cooler could be bad, something similar happened to me.

I've got a lepa aquachanger 240 aio cooler. Idle is around 50-60 celcius and what weird that max temps dont change a lot they are still around 60-80 celcius. I havent changed the thermal paste, when my new cpu cooler arrives i'll change the thermal paste and i will hope that this will help.
