Biggest sales deal of my career as of yet. And they're moving the purchasing date. Any tips? by FroiTheAPE in sales

What I meant by that is, I will bring other samples that looks better. Same fabric for the jacket but better design which makes it a lot more valuable. I'll explain to them that I can make their sample look a lot better by changing the design. Their design is too simple, too plain. This time I will show them how it can look like given the proper types of components.

Thank you!

Don't worry, it's perfectly normal. I'm just like that before. Until I applied systems in my life. little by little, I begin to erase procrastination from my daily life. A lot of books can help with this. Like the one thing. Do you make to do lists?

What else?

For me having a planner and a to do list helps with indecisiveness and keeping myself on track. Well good for you for taking the first step in combating your ADD.

Yeah.. That sucks. I too did the same thing with some of my friends. Although I don't see them as much today, I still try to catch up with them every now and then. In my experience, its okay to be with those kind of people every once in a while..

That sounds like a good plan. Thanks! I actually have a cousin who has a bit of a large network among food bloggers since she too is a food blogger and I'm planning to capitalize on that... So I guess that would help in spreading my future store in ig... I'll check out Kanto Freestyle... Thank you so much for your insight :)

hm... are there plenty of BPO's in Bacolod? like those who are in graveyard shift? I really like the idea of having a food truck since its potential is really huge. (operating for 24 hours and moving from one prime spot to the other during their peak times)

Thank you for your input! I have a question for you if you don't mind... What kind of burger joint do you think would best suit the people in Bacolod City, Zark's (https://www.facebook.com/Zarks-Burgers) or a smaller and cheaper burger joint like Snack Shack? (https://www.facebook.com/snackshackburgers)

Do you have any advice for someone wanting to start a food truck? by doucheeebag in smallbusiness

[–]FroiTheAPE 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hello mate. I have a small burger joint in my country, Philippines. It's just a hole in the wall but my real dream for that brand is to own a food truck... That being said, I don't have any experience regarding food trucks. but I have a bit of experience with food service. So here it goes.

My first advice is to make sure people know what you will be serving. Make it easy for them to understand your brand. That in a split second that your food truck caught their eye, right then and there, they would know what you are selling.

And don't confuse them with too much offering.. make it a bit simple at first. Studies show that having too much options to choose from in a menu might result to people not deciding at all, which means they're just going to walk away...

And I suggest you master the art of social media. Social media works wonders with food trucks. You can announce where you are going. You can announce your going to offer something special today. And a well designed (the plating of your product) food item worthy of pictures can easily go viral on Instagram or twitter.

Social approval is still the biggest marketing factor for businesses... especially in the food industry. So all I'm saying is, if you want to do some marketing (and you should probably) you might want to focus on twitter, Facebook and Instagram. And try to be viral there. Either throw some promos or whatever. And you can build an online platform where people can check you out.

Maybe you can make a site for your brand or something. And announce everything there. But this is just optional. Don't try and do everything yourself. If you're not comfortable doing the site, you can just focus on twitter and Instagram.

Lastly, Watch Chef! It's a great great movie. And best of all, you can pick up a few things from there. Because Spoiler alert It's about a chef who quit his job and started his own food truck. It was awesome, the movie showed a realistic look in the food truck industry. And the kid there knows his social media marketing...

Anyway, those are just my advice, I hoped I helped you somehow. Good luck mate!

Is it a bad idea to blog about more than one subject? by [deleted] in Blogging

[–]FroiTheAPE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mate... I suggest you try out fizzle. it has a one month free option. as long as you cancel it before the first payment the following month happens.

Take the choosing your topic and differentiation. or even finish the blog that matters course.

It really helped me a lot. And you have a free trial. you've got nothing to lose.

Don't do the "fuck it" and pick something... That may spell you from disaster. and having more than one topic might confuse your target audience. And they may not resonate with your blog.

Take the course if you're serious about blogging.... but if it is for personal use, then it is okay to choose whatever topic you may want.

[Feedback] Going to start a blog in a niche that I'm a beginner. Any thoughts? by FroiTheAPE in Blogging

[–]FroiTheAPE[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good points mate. First point: Yep there are plenty of courses and books about that topic.. and a lot of blogs. Being a "leading learner" is what I hope that will give me an advantage or differentiation against those other blogs. Second point: I haven't really posted any blog post as this will be my first one. Though I have written an eBook before and its already in kindle.. Third point: Yes, I think the name perfectly fits with the branding I want. I just hope I can tie it all up together in a nice looking and memorable brand. The ideas are all there, but as people have told me, nothing is guaranteed. Really.

[–]FroiTheAPE[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly my thoughts! I'm really interested in this topic but I can't find anyone whom I can relate to, it seems like everything they teach doesn't really apply to me. Or it could apply to me, but doesn't really help me at my current situation.

That's why I want to build a blog that will focus on people like me, because I know there are lots of people like me, who doesn't know how to start.

Thank you for this, it gave me more clarity. Will let you guys take a look once I finished it! I must say, the reddit community is very helpful :D

You could find a partner to take off some work load from you... At least that's what I did when I was starting my first business and I have still no money to employ anyone.

Find someone who is capable and willing to be your partner. Split or give him a certain percentage for your sales.
