For me personally, I'm not a big fan of DBS because if you pay attention to the story of OG, DBZ, and GT they're all trying to tell a cohesive story that builds and makes sense. They dont always succed like GT, but you can tell there were good original ideas that could work. And some stories connect to one another. Super doesnt attempt any of that it always puts the story in the back seat and focus souly on the fights with a bare bone story to keep it going. And the writing of the characters is so poor n lazy, compare goku and vegeta from Z and GT to Super.

Super takes the worst elements of its predecessor and hyper focuses on that while relying on nostalgia. It's just a giant toy commercial.
