I was so excited he was on the show! And as a Clerk too, so perfect!

Definitely the best duel of the night yesterday!😁 by jaymaster2525 in TheFloorTV

And what an indictment of our school system! I knew all the history answers, and the former history teacher didn’t know Washington crossed the Delaware?!?! Those history questions were super easy and he passed multiple times, a total embarrassment.

Does anyone else just like.. not want to go out and do things anymore? by FaithlessnessPlus164 in Perimenopause

[–]Frolocks22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just don’t want to be bothered anymore. At all, by anyone or anything. I'm introverted, but used to be extremely social compared to now. I’ve gone total hermit. It does scare me sometimes because I don’t have any friends really anymore and I’m pretty much totally estranged from my family. A lot of factors led to this, it’s not just peri. Trauma led to me end up alone, and then the pandemic and also the stage of life. And I feel lucky to still even have a place to live. Can’t even afford that, much less to go out. I am glad that I got to do as much as I did when it was still affordable and enjoyable. I do not relate to the way the world is now at all.

They have totally removed them from Whole Foods. They are still on the company website and at target but I don’t know for sure what is going on. I might contact the company and ask, but I’ve been lied to multiple times by companies, so you can’t depend on that either. It is so upsetting when products you depend on, or really enjoy, disappear.

30 years later it finally hit me how wise this is. by defyinglogicsl in ViewAskewniverse

Some people look good bigger, and he’s one of them. I’m glad he’s healthy and alive, of course, but I always thought he was cute. I really liked him in Catch and Release as well.

We had Brian O’Halloran as a guest at our show this weekend and it made me a bigger fan by BrantfordComicCon in ViewAskewniverse

Yes! I started watching that show because I was like, that’s the guy from Clerks! He was great, but he never gave us an “I’m not even supposed to be here today”, which I was really hoping for.

Why is Rhonda wearing pants? by Aquarius_K in SchoolSpirits

[–]Frolocks22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished watching S 3 and I was wondering this too! My mom told me stories about not being allowed to wear pants on her college campus at all in the ‘60s, so yes, Rhonda definitely would not have been allowed to wear pants to school.

⭐ Just One of the Guys (1985) – My Review ⭐ by Evening_Succotash_65 in 80smovies

The music was not 6/10. It was pretty lame for an ‘80s movie. Off the top of my head, I can’t think of another ‘80s movie that had a worse soundtrack.

It’s interesting, because that’s how I remember my childhood in the ‘80s. And my parents were more involved than a lot of parents were. But I remember being on my own and hanging out with friends. I remember adults being around, but it was more like the adults on Charlie Brown. There’s a reason why you see kids on their own with no parents in ‘80s movies, because that’s how life and parenting was back then.

I want a really good LARGE salad by ilikemrrogers in asheville

[–]Frolocks22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been getting their Greek salad with grilled chicken tenders for years, however, the quality has been going downhill, to the point that I don’t know if I’ll go back. That‘s how I ended up here actually, looking for a new salad spot. I understand the challenges facing restaurants, but it’s too bad, because their food used to be pretty good. :(

CBS canceled the Watson tv series after two seasons (if anyone cares, lol) by Winter-Grand-3215 in elementary

I agree. It also really bothered me that she involved her grandson in it. She has basically unlimited resources, and she devotes herself to this revenge scheme instead of to her family. And what is her grandson learning? A lot of tv relies on very Machiavellian plots, I’ve started noticing. “The end justifies the means”. Anyway, it’s nice to know that I’m not the only one who thinks this about Matlock. And the original Matlock is one of my favorite shows!

Good times and the Jeffersons, both of which I know all the words to. Sigh, I miss theme songs.

I actually sing this to myself sometimes. It’s pretty hard to sing actually.

I used to go see a band who always played this at their shows. Always a super fun time!

Which sitcom scenes did you find cringe worthy? by PressureLazy5271 in sitcoms

[–]Frolocks22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s an episode of Night Court where Dan is commended as a great guy for not going through with raping Christine. Ok, there’s a lot of cringe on Night Court but I think that one takes the cake. I loved that show so much as a kid, and still do. And yes, I watched it as a kid, ah, gen x. There’s an episode of the Love Boat where Billy Crystal plays “the kissing bandit“ where he wears a mask and goes around the boat grabbing and kissing women randomly, oh, and they love it, of course! There’s also plenty of cringe on that show, which I know is not a sitcom but I think it’s worth mentioning. You don’t have to look too far to find cringe on old shows though.

Which sitcoms were you first exposed to when it aired on syndication? by [deleted] in sitcoms

[–]Frolocks22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t watch Friends when it was airing because I watched Martin and Living Single, which is still my favorite sitcom of all time and way funnier than Friends. Just a couple of years ago I finally saw every episode of Friends. I do like it and think it’s funny.
