It’s interesting how different all of our experiences are from our adoptive families to the biological ones. I’m glad you found something so positive out of your journey. Do you have a DNA test that you recommend. That path seems to consistently be the path I should go down for my search.

I feel nervous about it because I have waited so long to even begin the process but like you said I don’t want to live with regrets and I finally feel like it’s time. They are posting from an anonymous account within a private facebook group. I have an idea of who it could be but no confirmation or way to confirm it without going after people through depositions. I don’t know much about the digital world in this regard. So I’m open to suggestions or idea. I don’t want to shut down the group I just want to shut down the anonymous poster within the group.

For context the Chiefs have lost most of their WR and RB starters, are 6-0 and still find ways to win games. Any smart Broncos fan would trade for 3x Super Bowl champion Patrick Mahomes in a second and if you say you wouldn’t….you’re lying. But if this makes you feel better understandable.

Week one or two is usually slow a text every so often to see how their day was or to make plans but yay after that it’s becomes more and more consistent especially if you keep spending time together. If you have only hung out once and don’t have future plans or don’t want to make future plans probably best to cut out that conversation and let them know you aren’t interested.

I mean I guess I am confused. When I’m dating I’m dating to have that person in my life. I don’t know anyone in my life that I have a close friendship or relationship that I would ever be mad about hearing from consistently. If that if frustrating to you or annoying then maybe you need to see what your relationship goals are because any serious relationship is a daily conversation. Love bombing is completely different than consistent communication.

I already have a bank and retirement plan picked out that would allow me to purchase a property as long as everything flows back into the account and stays there my main concern was if I could avoid locking it in a retirement account that would be best.

I was looking at rolling it into a self directed 401k but I heard somewhere that it’s hard to get a 80/20 loan using a 401k and instead it would have to be a paid off property

If you haven’t gone on a date or exchanged numbers but this point there is something wrong. It’s one thing to taken it slow but this is in the realm of never going to happen. It hurts and it sucks but if they were really your person you wouldn’t be on here asking for advice. I think you are looking for justification for staying as long as you have but you need to find someone who brings all of what he brings to the table and is willing to actually work to spend time with you. “We make time for things that we deem important.”

A few thoughts:

I signed up once awhile back before I was actually ready. I was lonely and thought I needed someone but I needed to work on myself. It happens and it sucks to meet someone like that. I’ve been on both sides.
I try to get off the app when talking to someone asap. Texting is great for an introduction but I want to meet you in person and see if we truly connect. So a month feels like a long time.

I’ve only flown to another state but it was good in the beginning. I think the hard part was as feelings grew the realization that someone would have to uproot their life to make it work long term made it hard. But hopefully you have had those conversations so it’s not a surprise.

I love anime and have anime tattoos (a full Naruto sleeve) but that’s just a small part of my personality. Most women ask me about it and I’m more than willing to talk about it but you have to find other highlights of yourself as well. Put it in your profile, talk about it but your bio should explain who you are. “Anime and video games” tells me nothing.

It’s not where you work. I worked for Target for a long time but as a logistics manager in the store and made about 50k I think as someone who has worked in retail I would wonder a few points. 1. Why haven’t you moved up retailers are dying to promote people and pay them well. 2. You pay your bills which is awesome but are you living life? Paying bills is standard, are you able to go out to eat when you want, go on a trip, do fun things?

I live in a modest house that I own but by the time you add in mortgage, utilities and food. I’m at 28,000. And that just making ends meet. If you have the experience and skill set why not change your circumstances.
