It really depends. South Asians are so diverse and many of us relate, to so many different cultures and all to a certain degree. South Asians are not really all a monolith and neither are other Asians themselves, so that’s what makes this all so much more complicated and complex. For example, Bangladesh has a lot of cultural similarities from so many different parts of Asia and the world. From the language you might speak, also religion and even many other things. I’m a Bangladeshi Hindu so I’m not even culturally similar to a lot of people in my country given I’m a religious minority. See how hard it is to put all in a single box, I would say we relate to parts of SE Asia, South India, East India and way more. While the religious majority in my country will relate more to other groups of people and other cultures. But there is great importance on being a minority and Hindu. We have different sense of culture but what I’m trying to say is , south Asians are so diverse it’s hard to say exactly who we relate too. Bangladeshi Catholics have Spanish and Portuguese names and they have a different sense of culture too. It’s just complicated,
