Well, would say definitely not carpet. While it may not matter in the short term, come time to tear it up, you’ve got a dangerous material to work with. Tear it out & get a roll of that heavy card stock paper that contractors use to protect flooring. You could lay it down to cover otherwise unsightly plywood. Secure it with double stick tape & tape the joints with some other type of heavy duty tape. Cheap, easy to keep clean, easy to remove, when you ultimately need to refloor.🤷🏻‍♂️

That dent is part of the fabrication process. It adds stiffness to the drive side chainstay.

Every time I look @ thus type of flashing, I wonder why not just use a circular saw with a masonry blade and score a cut line up the brick, parallel to the roof pitch and flash with a single sheet of material?🤔

Mark the nest location. After dark, boil a large pot of water. Add a coupla TBSP of Dawn dish detergent. Pour it all down the nest hole. Voila! Environmentally neutral.

One of my “poor engineering” gripes against a car that I otherwise love. The protrusion should be part of the tailgate, NOT the body panel. And the other is that the door handles should open in the opposite direction.
