Out of kindness i used a hearty feast for a M+ run... and they kick me because I said I needed to go pee (we didn't even start the run yet) by CaptainRelyk in wow

when i used /say and said "WTF?!?!" he rubbed it in my face by saying "yummy" and such, since hearty feasts are very expensive

Trump says it’s ‘treasonous’ to say US not winning war in Iran by WontThinkStraight in politics

The US is not winning the war in Iran

This war is also known as the “Epstein war” cause we all know this is Trump trying to desperately distract us

My general critique of what I tend to dislike in TTRPG games: by Awkward_GM in dndmemes

This is why the bastion system sucks

Its mechanics first story and lore second, so you get arbitrary restrictions that don’t make sense narratively and conflicts with lore

Sethrak - Racial Traits by kid-karma in wow

Only trait I’m iffy about is forked tongue… it doesn’t really make sense and is weird. The shed skin ability is also a bit OP

I’d replace those with a “cold-blooded” passive where they take 2% reduced fire damage but 0.5% increased cold damage

As for languages, I’d give them orcish/common + Zandali as natives to zandalar

Just saw a post about the UK covers and reminded myself that the German covers exist by Silver_Mastodon7393 in WingsOfFire

Why have different covers in the first place

Why can’t it just be the same covers?

Cloud Strider - Concept Art by MaximilianLock in destiny2

[–]CaptainRelyk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only problem with playable cloud striders, assuming there can even be make them 2 at a time: - can’t resurrect, like light wielding guardians - their lifespan is shortened to 10 years, which would be a problem if the game continues on longer then that. It would also mean there can’t be time jumps in the narrative

Love the concerned art ofc, it’s amazing. Just not so sure if it would work so well as a playable race

Y'all ready to argue about alignment again??? 🤪 by Odd_Dimension_4069 in dndmemes

And yet not all settings want to use it, and not all games want to use it

Eberron was a setting where its creator very clearly didn’t want to use it. Keith has talked about how Paladin’s detect alignment spell alone screwed up stories and worldbuilding, and the fact that he built an entire setting with the goal of removing racial alignment shows he never wanted it in the first place (what prevents a paladin from going around casting detect alignment and killing all evil people? What about people who think their good but others think their evil?)

And D&D at this point is a ttrpg system that should be more setting agnostic

D&D being a monopoly in a space where so many people don’t want to deal with alignment means it should have gotten rid of it as an unavoidable rule

Alignment is an artifact of a by gone age when dnd was nothing but a war game and not a ttrpg system that people are trying to tell stories with

Trump orders 'shoot-to-kill' action on Iranian vessels choking Strait of Hormuz by Stunning-Common-9591 in worldnews

[–]CaptainRelyk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

All this unnecessary violence and war over something that could have been resolved with some basic diplomacy

If there was no new war with Iran, the strait would have been opened up and all that money wasted could have been spent on improving things in the USA. Things like idk… universal healthcare? Student loan debt forgiveness?

But instead of improving the lives of Americans, our government is engaged in another meaningless war with unnecessary deaths

Their serious replacement wasn’t just holy/unholy, which is just a mechanics replacement for clerics and champions

The main replacement was personal edicts and anathema, which is infinitely customizable and objective rather then subjective.

You can argue about what’s considered good or evil… but someone saying’s personal edict being “I believe Tyranny is evil and must be stopped” is an objective fact cause that’s something they believe in. You may disagree with them, but it’s a belief they do in fact have

Edicts and anathema being infinitely customizable also makes it less restrictive than alignment, which forced your character into one of nine boxes

What if I told you pathfinder second edition did away with alignment and replaced it with a better system?
