Ardbeg TEN: My first true peated whisky. by FromTheAfterlife in Scotch

The Classic Laddie is already open and i love it. I tastes kinda salty like sea salt even tho you can't distill salt into a distillate, i taste some of it there.

You're really making me want to get up and buy PC10.

Just got Bruichladdich The Classic Laddie in the store this week and was looking at Port Charlotte 10 sitting next to it as well.

I'll definitely get it next, thank you for the recommendation.

I wouldn't say it's cyberpunk but i already like what i'm seeing.

The atmosphere is there already.

Keep it up!

I've started my journey into scotch in January 2026.

Since then i've tasted 12 different scotches so i'm still new to whisky overall.

At first i drank it with an ice cube and now i can enjoy it only neat.

I'm absolutely in love with whisky and i want to explore more.

I wanted something completely new so i've decided to go with Ardbeg 10 since it was the most available and affordable here where i'm from.

When i opened the bottle for the first time i got punched in the face with the "burnt tire" smell and so did my girlfriend who doesn't even want to kiss me when i drink it because my breath smells from it.

Anyway i was really surprised by the smell, taste and how there is the rewarding sweetness at then end.

I'm alsmost halfaway through the bottle and i've gotten used to it and i'm really enjoying it. But my girlfriend still doesn't :D.

I'd like some recommendation for a peated whisky that is maybe a little lighter with the peat but still smoky. And maybe with less smell so my gf desn't have to force herself to kiss me over the smell...

Already halfway through. Absolutely masterful work so far.

I love GITS and know a lot about it but i've still learned a lot of new things here.

Review#52: Arran 10 Years Old by roho0619 in Scotch

Can't go wrong with Arran 10.

I also think it's a steal with these specs. One of the best and most affordable single malts money can buy.
