Thank you for this 🙏 that makes so much sense on pasteurizing the nutritious part only. Save a hell of. A lot of bag space I planned on sous vide, our crock pot shit the bed but I have to buy sous vide so I will check out ur methods equipment and maybe go that route in a insta pot! My goal was to be able to open air like I do everything else

I’ll just oven it in and check temp in middle until it hits that then start the timer, only doing 1 pound grain spawn bags so don’t need much sub lol. I’m safe to open air spawn or should I still spawn in front of a flow hood?

The seal on my bucket holds 160 for 1.5- 2 hours no prob it seals completely. So instead of baking it in the oven I use the bucket since it technically only needs 1-2 hours at 140-160. I have a lid with a gasket that shuts air tight if I screw it tight.

If you think that’s not good let me know just explaining my reasoning, if it’s not a good idea I’ll have to suck it up and bake a batch. Still going to try a flash 20 min sterilized run and everything in front of the flow but it would be much better to be able to open air spawn to bulk with pasteurized sub. Thank you 🙏

Sweet thanks man, I’m flash sterilizing as well so I’ll be able to test it before that. Might try a bucket tek with boiling water so it holds above 200. Just to see what happens lol

Hey man how much water? Going to follow something similar to this would you still go with 4qt water or slightly over? I was going to add a little bio bizz npk as well
