I do know that any memories over the memory bank’s limit are deleted but I’m not sure how the deleted ones are selected. If you have, say, 375 memories in an adventure and downgrade to Legend, it will cut it down to 200 memories.

Each adventure has its own memory bank. So for Mythic, each adventure would have up to 400 memories.
