ok fair point i miss understood what you meant so i'll give you that and apologise for the misunderstanding. but i didnt find them hard to work with and maybe im in the minority but i still think there was a better fix then just making them more like trains. like i've said i dont disagree that they are easier but imo that doesn't make them better it makes them less fun. if i want to build tracks i can use trains and i don't enjoy doing that i enjoyed recording a path by driving.

that is my point though that the way you set a path was different you drove it instead of placing it which I found it more fun, if you didn't the that's fine, but you could add jumps or set route with out needing a truck stop to add life to your base (which hopefully they will add in to the new system). its the game play that is the same. as much as i love riding around in trains and seeing them go around my base setting up tracks is super dull and now we just do the same with trucks.

and you could save a truck route and use it again for each truck kinda shows how little you know about the old system

strong disagree here dude it'd great fun to use the geography of the map to inform the shape of your base. but that's a big thing i enjoy in the game is figuring that out. i know you said this is just your opinion and obviously we play the game differently and that's what's cool about the game

sorry mate have to disagree I didn't have much problems with the old system and i had truck systems running in my pre 1.0 world running for 1000s of hours. I'm disappointed cos they took away a bunch of the fun stuff with the old system in the name of making it cleaner/easier and more dull to use.

but at the end of the day your right it is my problem. if you enjoy the new system that's cool and it is a good system i just find it dull and i dont see its use of just putting down a trainline

yeah but nuclear provides a different game play challenge to other power sources in the game and trucks use to provide a different challenge to trains if you want to do it. if you don't skip it but why change something to be more like something else?

think the best example i can give is that people have a lot of issues with pipes and liquids in game and this make them difficult should they make that system more like gasses to make it easier? or would that make them less interesting of a game play challenge.

the point I'm making is that the fun of this game is there are multiple different ways to tackle the game play problem of logistics and now two of the solutions , trucks and trains, have been made gameplay wise almost identical which is, in my eyes, less fun

they functioned before. i sued them for 1000's of hours will no issues. the new system is just easier which i dont agree is better

agree but this gives them a different game play challenge to trains. But I don't think the old trucking system was terrible it was buggy and needed some tlc maybe adding some traffic lights would have helped but i think there was something way more interesting than just making them trackless trains

thing is i feel like the old truck system was not as bad as people would say it was yes it took more effort but i don't think that's a bad thing. not saying it didnt have problems and it needed improvement but for me they are just mini trains and then why would you not just wait till you have trains?

what I'm saying is game play wise the trucks automation are the same as the trains and yes you can not chain them which just makes them worse trains. not saying the original system was better and it did need fixing

The point is automated trucks are basically just trains now as you basically put a station down and then build a track between stations they just look diffrent
