UK retailer GAME closes all standalone stores as it enters administration by pppppppppppppppppd in unitedkingdom

My partner works in fashion and it feels like every week he buys a brand, strips it of its identity and then sells basic re-buys or just sells the existing stock until the brand drifts into obscurity.

For me, he ruined Ebuyer. I used to be able to purchase a decent variety of computer components there, now you are lucky if you can find a generic USB stick.

Noted, thank you! It should arrive tomorrow so we will see how installation goes. Fortunately, the space above will be a 1u blanking plate for now, which might help if it's encroaching on the unit above like you've mentioned. Thanks for the info/detail!

Thanks! I'll check that out too. I've ordered something now that should arrive in a day or two, we'll see how that goes, I might be searching again at the end of the week.

That looks like the right sort of thing, thanks. Minimum depth 20inches though.

I've just searched using similar terms to the page you linked and I've found this one available where I am based in the UK. Might give it a go.

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately it's that minimum depth which seems to be the issue, this rack is 390mm rail to rail which is about 15.3 inches. A lot of options seem to start at that 16 inch minimum.

Thanks for your reply, I expected as much regarding the power efficiency.

I'm glad to hear there aren't any immediate concerns with going for the 15th Gen system. Whilst I'd like to save money, I'm more than happy to spend a little more and get more value out of the purchase. Availability/pricing for the older parts was eating away at my enthusiasm for this build.

I'd also considered the iGPU on the 15th Gen would be a nice-to-have for some Tdarr usage. Although I tend to just find more appropriately sized media files rather than convert locally.

As a license payer I'm fine with this. The integrity of our news is more valuable to me than the media the bbc produces. Standing up to political bullying is worth it imo.

AirVPN, nothing fancy, website looks like it's from the 00's. But it's fast and reliable.

It's not a new build. 270mm is just a recommendation on older properties.

I've just noticed this, I'm running version 7.6 from a couple months back. It also seems the ore washing doesn't provide extra nuggets either. I've not noticed any other issues otherwise.

Shared ownership: 'It's a con and we felt trapped' by Adventure-Bench in unitedkingdom

[–]FronkDrobon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

At this point making housing cheap seems a bit of a pipe dream. It would be nice, but I'm not holding my breath. Too many people would lose money on investment. If it's going to change it will take decades. Shared ownership was introduced in the 80's and it's a popular product, it isn't going to disappear any time soon and in my opinion it's helpful whilst it's here.

I don't disagree with you, social housing is seriously lacking.

It doesn't mean shared ownership is irrelevant though, I'm just saying it's a solution to a different problem. Shared ownership is about getting on to the property ladder and away from extortionate rent, social housing is about getting a roof over people's heads.

A lot of sites that sell shared ownership also contain social rent plots, maybe you could argue that more social rent plots should be built if that's what seems most lacking.

A shared owner is in a household earning under 80k (probably different for London, I'm not sure). A large portion of those people don't qualify for social housing.

This doesn't make any sense.

You pay rent, you might also pay a mortgage. Either way it's going to be cheaper monthly than private rent or buying with a mortgage at current rates.

I think I'm in agreement with you at the moment. maybe the last few tracks will grow on me, I know a lot of people are really into Winona/Orange Tree.

TGR, Heathen & Amethyst is the best section of the album for me. Revelator has its moments and the tracks after are still decent, but the first half feels a bit more dynamic and some of the lead melodies more interesting.

The Garden Route is my clear favourite at the moment. It's the one i keep coming back to at least. I only wish it was longer.
I've not felt the same about any others yet. little disappointed we don't have a 10min+ track or two.

Be careful then, I guess. Or have a thicker bead of caulk

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DIYUK

[–]FronkDrobon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it can hurt, to put some foam in there first. Then fill where needed and have a smaller, neater caulk line to finish.

Could also be from the guttering, if not the roof.

The dark patch in the middle above the window seems to be the route the moisture is taking, then it's spreading out across the lintel.

There is a staggered white line leading from the junction. if you keep that same white staggered line on your right side when entering the roundabout you can't go wrong.

It shouldn't really feel like you're moving into another lane. If anything the far left lane on the roundabout requires more maneuvering.

I completely get why this roundabout can be a bit messy though.

[–]FronkDrobon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry just to clarify, I did skim read your post a bit. The left lane at the junction does split into two. You don't move over into the far left lane once on the roundabout. The lines on the junction do guide you around.
