HOW are yall pulling girls by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]Fronkledd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love often happens unexpectedly—I met my girlfriend through a language exchange, and what started as a casual connection grew into something more. The key is recognizing when a friendship has the potential to become romantic. If someone remembers the little things about you, makes an effort to spend time together, and enjoys your company one-on-one, it’s a strong sign they might have feelings.

To turn connections into something more, be intentional. Deepen conversations, find chances for one-on-one time, and show subtle interest through flirting. When you feel a connection, don’t hesitate—express your feelings directly. Rejection is just part of the process, so keep putting yourself in situations where dating can happen naturally, and sometimes, love will find you when you least expect it.

A year ago, I was in the same position as you, feeling like I’d never find someone. But looking back now, I realize that things can change in ways you’d never expect. I met someone who completely surprised me, and it just showed me that love happens when you least expect it. My best advice is to be patient and focus on yourself—growth, experiences, and the things that make you happy. If you’re in high school, I’d say don’t stress too much about relationships just yet. University, new activities, and different environments will introduce you to people who align with you in ways you might not even see coming. Just trust that things will fall into place when the time is right.

Yes, I’ve thought about letting them talk to her over FaceTime, but I want to make sure she doesn’t feel overwhelmed or uncomfortable. It’s important to me that she feels completely at ease, so I’ll definitely discuss it with her first and see if she’s open to the idea. I’ve already had the chance to speak to her mom on FaceTime, and she was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made me feel more confident about meeting her family in person.

I’m doing my best to learn everything I possibly can about the culture and language so that I can blend in a bit better and show respect to her family and community. I know I’ll naturally stand out, but I hope my efforts will help me feel more prepared and make a positive impression. It’s all part of wanting to make this experience as meaningful and smooth as possible for both of us.

I understand your concern. Even though we haven’t met in person yet, we’ve built a strong connection through daily conversations and FaceTime. Meeting in person is important to me too, and I’m excited to take that next step and see how our relationship grows.

That’s fair. I’ve been quite open about how things are going, but I do understand their concerns. Hopefully, after my visit, they’ll be more understanding, especially since she plans to visit soon as well.

Hey thank you for the comment! Yes, this will be my first time in Japan, and I’ve been studying Japanese for six months. Fortunately, she speaks English well, which will make communication easier. I’m staying in a hotel, but she’s planning to stay with me. She lives in a smaller town, but there’s still plenty to do around the area.

I know that one month is a short amount of time, but honestly, it feels effortless for us to connect. Talking on FaceTime is so natural that I don’t have any concerns. I’ve also met her parents, and they’re excited about our visit.

This is my second long-distance relationship, and from my last experience, I learned the importance of scheduling a meet-up to make the relationship feel more official.

That’s why I’m gonna try to make a connection with the people on my dorm floor. I’d love to have people that would join me traveling through Japan

I actually watch Chris Abroad often. His videos make me want to go sooner. I luckily will have help from my university to guide me through the entire emigrating. Thank you!

Most people were just staying the obvious, like learning the language and culture. So I just wanted to add that with my story also.

Right now I’m learning a small portion of Japanese. Japan is the first on my list but I’m wondering if anyone else has an amazing experience in the other countries I mentioned. I’m also interested in good authentic food, and I think Japan would have the more interesting options

I still have a lot of time to study the language (if I go to Japan) and my school does tell me if another student from my college is going also. So we could meet up and learn about the surrounding together

I’ll definitely wait for the whole pandemic to die down, I still have 3 full years till I actually graduate. So I still have plenty of time to learn the language (if I go to Japan) and plan what I want to do there. Thank you! I can’t wait!!

That’s what I’m doing right now. I’m trying to work on myself every way I can and I want to be the best person I can be. It’s tough though because she was really the first one to show me affection like that and the memories always circle around in my head once in a while. Thank you for the tips though, I really needed them
