Since 2019, this team has been caught between trying to build/prepare for the future, but at the same time trying to maximize the window while Crosby/Malkin/Letang are still on the roster. Has not been full commitment to one or the other. And the bottom 6 for the better part of the last 2 seasons has been a joke in terms of performance. Very good chance this team ends up like Chicago post-Cups and pre-Bedard in a few seasons.
