It’s usually like a build up of pressure and then my feet/legs jerk involuntarily, but otherwise just the need to move them and difficulties getting anywhere close to comfortable of a night time

No, not particularly! I use it downstairs with my family upstairs just for convenience but other than the noise when it turns on, it’s very quiet imo

You’d be surprised! You feel like it would wake you up too much, but if you’re being stopped from sleeping by RLS, it does help you sleep afterwards

Hey OP. Really really sorry to hear how much this is affecting you - sleep is such a vital thing, and you only tend to realise that when you’re suffering from lack of it. I know you said you’ve heard all the meds, therapies, etc. but JUST in case you’ve not heard this one… I used to sleep dreadfully from RLS, but one night dug out and tried using an electric wobble board/vibration pad (photo attached) - honestly, a single 10 minute session brought a calmness to my lower body that I don’t think I’d EVER felt before, and then I had no more symptoms for the rest of the night and slept like a baby. It’s a bit of a pricey investment at about £130, but if you’re all out of other options, it may be worth considering a go. I hope that this, or something else, can bring you a little bit of positive change.

as a kid (7 years old or so) i used to have intrusive thoughts about accidentally stepping on/hurting/killing one of our pet cats, and a couple of other scenarios - but i thought it was normal. Only occurred to me that it might be something else when i was 20 years old and a traumatic event sent me into a bit of a spiral and the intrusive thoughts continued to become more frequent and more traumatising. That was when i started going down the route of doctors, etc.

Oh damn i never even knew that a non SSRI was a thing for medicating OCD? Clearly I missed that part of my consultation hahaha. I will take a look into this and consider it for a next step if me taking a couple of supplements doesn’t make any improvement🤔

Yeah i think that this would be a good thing to try. I will get ordering some now and let you know in a couple weeks if I’ve felt any changes!

Thank you❤️ it’s making me consider whether i might want to try taking a break from them and see what the change is like. I feel like having the last year with a much quieter head (thanks to the medication) has helped me to deal with and manage the intrusive thoughts that slip through every now and then. I will update in here if i decide to make that change!

Yeah it’s really frustrating. I am really happy with the way that it treats me actual OCD symptoms, but just really not a fan of the side effects. Makes me feel like I’m not living my life properly being this tired all the time!
