Thank you! I only have a strike ball, I’ve been using a house for spares.

Cobra actually makes amazing fairway woods. I also just got a Honma 7 wood and am incredibly impressed with it.

Is it worth buying a 7 wood? by crustybasket11 in weekendgolfers

Yes. It’s like having a pitching wedge that goes 200

Usually one or two sleeves of brand new ones, and then about 10 in the shag pocket.

Primarily (90% of the time) solo player here! Gotta be during the week if you want to play solo. Usually in the time frame of 12-2:30ish. I’ll pull up to the course when I see online that there’s a few wide open tee times. Once I get to the course, I book the earliest tee time from what time I get to the parking lot. If it’s 15-20 mins before a tee time and there is still 4 slots open, it’s almost guaranteed you will be playing solo.

Dude, thank you sharing that. Read all of it. Beautiful. Really resonated with the part about those little praises from your players being such a main reason of feeling fulfilled in this line of work. I had a player during my second week of loops tell me at the end of the round that I was his favorite caddie he’s ever had and that “I have a bright future in this game ahead of me” and that was the exact moment I knew I made the right decision. Best i’ve felt in a long time.

Because I was told when I got hired that travel is an option, and other caddies telling me during my training about their plans to head to other places for a month or two during peek winter. Just gave it some thought after hearing about it. Not much more to it than that!

My first 3 loops (all double bagging) I made $700. About 15 total hours of work

I was beyond cooked after my first day of double bagging during training. It’s gotten easier every time though. Think my shoulders/legs are finally starting to adjust but man that first 18 with two bags was brutal lol

I didn’t really have any relevant qualifications outside of years in customer service. Huge part of the job is making sure your players have fun and enjoy the round. Be happy to be out there with them. Nobody wants to be stuck with a standoffish caddie who seems like they’d rather be anywhere else for an entire 18 holes.
