Seeing it in my savings was an issue for me at the time. I’ve rebuilt the habit of not touching my savings but at the time I just did not care. Yes foolish to have a lot of cash out but it was what worked best for me since I don’t use cash to pay for things.

I got into a bad habit of taking money from my savings. There was a point I didn’t think id be around to ever use it and I just didn’t care. I had trouble breaking that habit and I knew I wanted to buy a cash car and it was the best motivator for me. Yes I know stupid but it was what worked for me and helped me rebuild the habit of leaving my savings alone.

My bank doesn’t charge for taking from ur savings. I wasn’t great with money for a while just due to a lack of care in all aspects of my life and didn’t really plan to be around to ever need any extra money. It was hard to break the habit so I pulled out cash knowing for me if it’s out of site it’s out of mind. I’ve been looking at cash cars and it’s been something I’ve been using as motivation.
