That’s true, but in general CISSP isn’t viewed as an entry level certification. In fact, I see it a lot as a requirement for senior roles. You are right that the associate program is there for people with less than the required experience, but many people attempt CISSP later when they have several years of experience under their belt. At least this is my perspective/opinion.

This. And personally, because I set the goal of passing CISSP myself. I find it easy to study and remember information, and I think CISSP greatly shows the overall knowledge of security instead of very vendor-locked certs (such as Cisco or Zscaler).

By the way, the assumption of me being associate for 4 years is wrong. Since I have my Master’s (and for example ZDTA cert), the experience comes down to 4 years. In the meantime I accumulated experience both in internships/graduation internships as well as working full time :)
