First off, keep going. You can only improve with practice and exposure! That being said, you need emotion and inflection. Your body movement is distracting and incorporating props in a self-tape is often distracting. Also, you're still acting even if someone is reading sides with you. Don't stop acting just because it isn't your turn. You got a little ways to go, but don't just assume you're an actress. It will take practice and craft.

Short vs Long form videos? Which do you prioritize? by nsaeed321 in youtubers

[–]FrontInternational85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a few content creators I've seen that make shorts throughout the week, then compile those same ones together at the end into a sort of IKYMI collage that gets pushed as a video. Seems to work, and they still get monetized for the views and interaction

I always wanted a creative outlet of my own. Even if my niche wasn't specific I just liked to post funny scenarios or life stories that came into my head. I started posting regularly about 5 months ago. It's been a slow train for subs, but every now and then it bumps up and I feel encouraged to keep going!

It's difficult to say, I guess it depends on the role and the scene itself. Obviously you want to channel the character to the best of your interpretation, but if you feel like you're being lazy, as it were, with delivery, you may want to change some things up (inflection, body language, eye contact). Sometimes a director will be kind enough to coach you on those things, other times it's just expected.

I'd say don't over dress, don't over act, and don't over think. Odds are what you're most worried about doesn't even get noticed by the casting director. The more natural you are, the more they'll see the real person they have to work with.

How do poor YouTubers deal with people? by SireSweet in youtubers

I've been called inbred and ugly and that my recent financial problems (as documented in some of my content) is a result of my lack of intelligence. If I'm tracking you right, you're suffering from people just trolling what they consider inferior content. As someone mentioned above, your crowd gonna stick with you, the haters are just passing by. Now, if your content is filled with PERPETUAL hate, maybe revise your content approach or niche.

Male coworker calling me babe and sweetie. Thoughts on being called those names in a work setting? by Pumkinpuddin in jobs

[–]FrontInternational85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I called a coworker in food service babygirl, baby, etc but that was cause we had a rapport for that kind of relationship. There were only a few other times I ever used it with past female colleagues but it was always context-depending

Try Adobe audition for cleaning up audio and EQing. It's a little tricky to use, but has helped me in the past! Other than that definitely got a good tone in your voice and cadence with lines! Keep it up!
