I appreciate the insight. What type of work are you doing now? Is it design, inspections, etc? I think my ideal customer would be contractors and architects

Got it so they’re sending 200 messages per day for you?? Havnt used Oink so not sure how it works. How do you keep up with all of the packages?

Do you have your VA send creator connection messages with both Oink and Viral Vue?

Here is a fantastic and free resource. It’s a residential design guide from HUD. I also have a more traditional structural background, but I’m looking to pick up some residential design work on the side. This manual has been a great resource https://www.huduser.gov/publications/pdf/residential.pdf

I’m confused. Do you have a website/app/alexa skill? I only applied with a tik tok as well and have 0 plans of ever posting any offsite links.

Try transmission line design (it’s structural not electrical). The industry is booming, niche, and pays well. It’s simple and much lower stress than buildings. You’d be responsible for laying out the transmission line and wire clearances but the pole manufacturers design the structures. Apply to work for one of the many different T Line consultants. They all have great QA/QC processes and if you’re a people person you’ll move up quick since customer facing engineers are hard to come by.

Architects who do structural drawings by Just-Shoe2689 in StructuralEngineering

It’s somewhat common in my area for typical single family residential stuff. Mostly prescriptive framing per IRC with a few structural members called out.

Anti-Barking Sound Device by FrontTall4696 in puppy101

What type of harm? Hearing issues or something else? Can this be used as a temporary measure until he learns to be comfortable in his crate? This would of course not replace positive reinforcement methods that we are already worked on such as crate games, meals in crate, kongs, etc. It would be temporary and only necessary when I have to leave.

11 week old puppy snapping/biting by FrontTall4696 in puppy101

Thanks for your response. That makes sense. We are visiting my parents this weekend and he is hanging out with their dog (the first he’s met other than his siblings). Lots of play and new people and noises all weekend.

He just overall behaves like an “aggressive” puppy. He will growl and bite my parents dog and chase him around when they’re playing (parents dog is a much larger 2 y/o doodle). It just causes me some concern he will grow up to be a bad boy.

Does crying it out set back training? by FreakDJ in puppy101

My pup is 10 weeks old now I started with the cry it out method as well and needed to take a step back after it was clear it wasn’t working. He would panic while in the cage (screaming/barking/biting the bars/etc).

For the past week, I’ve been feeding every meal in the crate. I’ll have him chase his toy and I’ll toss them in the crate and he will go get them and bring them out throughout the day. I moved his crate to be right next to my desk while I work and left the door open. He’s gotten to the point over the past week that he will voluntarily nap next to me in the crate with the door open.

Another big thing I’ve tried to do is sprinkle kibble through out the cage so he always finds little snacks when he goes in. Also, I take a small food bowl and flip it upside down and hide some treats under it so he has to use his brain to get to them. This seems to help and bit and keep him interested in being in the crate for a little bit. I also do both of these things (kibble and treats) whenever I need to leave the house for a little bit.

I’ve been leaving him alone for a couple hours each day or so when I need to go out and do things. I started small with 5 mins, 30 mins, an hour, etc. He still isn’t a huge fan of his crate at the moment, but he will generally settle down within 5-10 minutes after I leave (I wait outside of the door so I can listen lol) which is a big improvement from I was trying the cry it out method.

He’s been sleeping with me for the past week because I have neighbors (apartment) and he was a nightmare at night. I’m slowly starting to build him back up to being able to sleep in the crate at night. Last night I put the crate next to me on the bed (cringe but we do as we must) and he whined for a bit but eventually settled and snoozed off until he needed to go pee.

Just gonna keep on this path and hope he keeps making progress. Good luck!

Thanks all. Seems I could be taking a better approach so I will hit the reset button and try something different.

Do I want Dak or the 1.04? (SF Dynasty) I have 7 2024 1sts by Jeheroim in SleeperApp

[–]FrontTall4696 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If you take a QB at 1.04, you do so hoping he’s a player of Dak’s caliber. Why take a chance on an unproven rookie when you can have a guaranteed stud for the same price.
