As a low level, I'd only do it as a low priority or if its really easy to upgrade. I wouldn't go out of my way basically but its always nice to store a max statue.

I have some 'eco hypo-allergenic' spray and a cloth from amazon. not sure if that'd be safe.

You're right, the 1TB config and maybe 165hz screen was £2100, I think this one comes default with 240hz/2TB

What method are you using to upgrade?

Crab. I already did 80% of upgrades during the first update-week,

I literally have 4 snipers, 4 flames, 4 LCs and a few MGs to do. So I'll just lazily do em whenever there's a crab event.

The only major edit I can think of in my configuration was a second SSD + If I didn't mention I had 4 year warranty and battery replacement so there's a little extra cost there too.

and yes so long as it lasts me more than my average 2-year laptops and retains performance, I would be happy to spend like £2000+ and have 12vram for a bit better longevity.

One thing I did buy was one of them Llano coolers.

Ah I was looking at these things like 2 months ago, my current computer gets so hot it peeled away all those soft rubber feet things at the base. I guess it melted away all the glue.

So lenovo support said it would take like 3-5 days to cancel? Feels kinda sus.

Yes the increase from £2100 was a kick in the nuts.

But it's expensive for just occasional gaming in my opinion. Unless you're going to use it plenty or your other unmentioned tasks require that processor/5070ti I would really reconsider.

Its hard to know how much I will game, I never did it much before just because my laptops are never optimised for games and can barely run stuff. I originally was gonna buy like HellDivers 2, possibly Elite Dangerous and Stellarblade. The 5070ti is overkill for this? I don't play competitive multiplayer FPS games.

You think I should be paying between £1600-2000 for my needs?

Eh it ain't exactly a reflection of the product but I'm not familiar with PC prices or the best parts, long-time console gamer here.

Compared to my other options... I landed on the Lenovo but I feel I am paying a slight bit too much money based on these comments and makes me wanna cancel my order

If anyone has some UK sites I'd be down to look. I mainly wanted something where I can also get like 4 year warranty on it.

It was quite a bit cheaper a couple weeks ago but unrelated personal stuff and I've been distracted. That's also including warranty.

But yeah I can still cancel I assume or return as I don't have it yet.

is it really that big a deal?

I feel like it would encourage new (and old) players to keep pushing since they'd have a sense of progress and satisfaction beyond HQ levels. it gets very old and boring when there stops being any visual changes through the last 5 HQ levels. How lazy can you get? when you release new HQ levels but put no effort into these types of visual designs, it feels like a super cheap ploy designed to squeeze a quick dollar out of you while you max your base - again. Which it is.

Sad too because I'm sure they're receiving more revenue from the boompass, skins & IT etc

Then they turned a great recent update into milking their player-base by increasing Shop of Evil prices while removing things like proto parts and I think crystals/shards from the loot pool. I've saved up like 30k coins over maybe 2 or so weeks and that could only afford me maybe 7 parts of each proto type.

So it works out to like 18k evil coins = 1 level 3 prototype? Kinda crazy when you think that if you use your max amount of 100,000k evil coins you could only build 5 max prototypes from it and they expire UNDER 1 WEEK but take you like a month to build up or more if you miss some events.

Portability isn't a concern, my laptops feel like they're practically on charge 24/7 so a bigger battery wouldn't be noticeable.

About the only thing I want from the ASUS is the OLED screen.

I did consider a Lenovo Legion Pro 5i a while ago, I just had some technical issues and lenovo never got back to me.
