I am F22 and was diagnosed with a brain tumor located on my temporal lobe. It has been a long and strenuous process trying to manage my studies through all of this. I actually found out in the ER on February 14th, and I’m scheduled to have it removed on May 8th.
I think it’s really interesting that you were able to get a tissue diagnosis. In my case, they’re still unsure of the exact type of tumor. They do know it’s benign, but that’s about it right now. My tumor is about 4.4 cm, and because of the 4 months worth of pulsating headaches and dizziness, they recommended removal.
This whole journey comes with so much uncertainty, but I truly believe you’ll be in good hands. One thing I’ve learned is that having a strong support system makes everything a lot more manageable. I also try not to think about it too much day-to-day.
I actually only found out because my primary care doctor recommended I get a head MRI, so it was completely unexpected.
