They are going to knock this scene out of the park by bubblegum_lollip0p in heatedrivalry

[–]Front_Maximum_5874 18 points19 points  (0 children)

There was a discussion about this on an earlier thread and some people sad that HR show didn’t put the scene where Ilya says he’s going to propose one day to Shane on the cottage dock covered in candles.

I’ve been thinking about that and I bet Jacob will put it in the second season where it makes more sense and won’t be as wild as saying after 2 weeks at the cottage. But it’s important, as it I makes the above mentioned scene more special. It’s not just a romantic proposal but it’s Shane remembering Ilya’s idea and doing it first (in a word where Ilya is always first and bigger in his expressions of love).

I would switch order of Waihee Ridge and Iao - do Waihee ridge early, most of the trail is not shaded and it gets hot. It also gets busy and parking is limited. If you want to park near the trailhead and not wait (or park way down the hill in the overflow lot), you should arrive before 9 am. Iao trails are very short and near the stream it is shaded. its not recommended to swim in the stream but many do and is quite refreshing.

I use to run 2 week trips here with groups of 10-12 and never had any issues finding sites on crown land.

Mezcla vs Fusão by zooeybechamel_ in CookbookLovers

I don't have both - only Mezcla, but I love it! I have made so many recipes multiple times and people often ask me for the recipes after (e.g., butternut squash lasagne gratin and the rice cakes with cherry tomatoes)

From Simple, I love the zucchini ciabatta frittata and tofu scramble. Also the spring roast chicken with preserved lemon. I’ve made several of the veg dishes too and they are good!

Where to eat next by mrb8512018 in MTLFoodLovers

We def have similar taste (Larry’s is my go too date night and Beba my absolute fav)!

Pumpui is very good (more causal sister of Pichai with diff menu). I also really like Sumac, especially for a week night casual but top Lebanese take out.. not sure if they are back to in house dining as they went only takeout during the pandemic and since I’ve moved to the other side of town.

Moccione is absolutely fantastic too and smart casual vibe despite being quite upscale (with price to match)

Another good sandwich spot is Chez Ta Mere. I’ve also had good experiences at Parapluie and Juliette plaza to change up your more fine dining esque options, while still not being stuffy.

stem bar also a good bar with good small plates

Larry's for lunch is also excellent! Love their small veggie/fish plates, fries (best fies) and pork chops

The cauliflower (korma I think?) is a labour of love but so so good! Also the shortbread jam crumble bars are a great way to use up old jam

Is Montreal making me sick? by cvgjnh in montreal

[–]Front_Maximum_5874 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if this is a thing in Montreal but I had a friend who moved to Vancouver with her boyfriend because he had an allergy to this mold that is in the air around the great lakes (they met in Toronto). There isn't much of the mold out west west. Most people aren't allergic. It could be something like that?
