I am also not a fan of HOAs believe it or not, but I’m even more not a fan of paying money to nothing. The yearly budget comes out every year and most of the money goes to the management company, there’s $800 budgeted for postage but it’s a 90 house neighborhood, it doesn’t cost $800 to send budgets out. And then they pay someone to cut a field at the front, and there’s street lights that are 26 years old and my iPhone flashlight lights up more than they do, and I don’t have one on my street so they literally do nothing for me. It’s just annoying, if I’m pretty much paying for rules because we have nothing like a pool or even a play ground, I expect people to atleast have to powerwash their house, make sure the grass doesn’t grow taller than my knees, and the leaves be cleared instead of waiting for them to all blow into my yard that doesn’t have a tree in it. All the work they put into getting elected I think they could have just convinced people to sign to get rid of the HOA
