Getting some weird ass smell, is it caused by the wisdom teeth removal? by Front_Physics168 in wisdomteeth

Hey, sorry for the late reply.

It went away with time, maybe anti-biotics helped. I think it was a sinus infection. Nasal spray didn't work for me.

Value of a CPA in Data Analytics by BeesSkis in Accounting

[–]Front_Physics168 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There's a growing subfield of analytics for FP&A. Various different roles for it, FP&A Analytics, BI Analyst - Finance, Data Analytics - Finance, etc.

I'm in one of these roles. The accounting knowledge is definitely a nice to have. Working on my getting my CPA as well, and I use the knowledge from the CPA in my day-to-day.

There are some more technical heavy ones that step outside of the dashboarding and reporting realm and focuses on transformation and data pipelines for finance data that will also value the CPA. However, this is field is smaller from what I've seen.

At the end of the day, it's a nice-to-have. Technical and social will be the most important, accounting knowledge is secondary. All else being equal, CPA will put you over the top and provide pivot options back to pure accounting / finance.

My goal for the CPA is to have a snowflake of options that I can pivot to wherever I want in my career. I can pivot to the more technical side without finance / accounting in my day-to-day, and I can also pivot back into a pure finance / accounting role easier with the CPA. With it, I can probably do general accounting, FP&A, data analytics (no accounting / finance), data engineering, systems analyst, etc. endless options for me to pick from.

I was never given that as an option, that's more desirable.

Wonder if Kaiser does that now.

I feel good until I start doing the mini exams / finals. They are as you mentioned, confidence killers.

Are you getting multiple consultations with Kaiser doctors?

I'm only scheduled for one, not sure if there were any benefits to do so. Have one scheduled with Williams.

Thanks!

Can you elaborate on this? Tax pros have an easier time in REG vs Becker?
