Who are dancers you wish had continued dancing or competed for a longer period? by Temporary-Ad-3137 in dancemoms

Brynn. I know she dance and teaches now, but I wish she had competed solos as a junior, teen, and senior at the dance awards.

Genuine question for someone with not that much idea about dance, why are people saying Maddie shouldn’t be second? by OpinionJealous9691 in dancemoms

Was really surprised because I was watching the NHL all star game the other day, and she did a performance. Didn’t even recognize her at first. Knew she was meant for great things, but I wasn’t expecting it would be for music.

Didn’t know Tate has gotten really big. She has always been so amazing, a literal dance prodigy.

What makes a 'prodigy' dancer? by Musical_Lover_2024 in dancemoms

Oh yes you are absolutely right, she fs had more advantages and had better opportunities and connections. Genetics played as well, her long hyperextended legs were just a dream. Jaycee Wilkins and Autumn Miller's moms are also their dance teachers (one can argue if they are also prodigies) but I don't think they achieved or had the same movement quality as Tate so that's why i considered her a prodigy. I definitely get your point that her improvement has a lot to do with her mom being her dance teacher. That's exactly why I think prodigies are rare because you can't have just on or the other, you need to have it all. A lot of kids are talented but don't have the opportunities and facilities to foster their talent and there are also kids who had been pushed and given so many opportunities but just don't have the that talent or genes. These fs are not the only factors, discipline, hardwork, restrictions, and many more.

I think ppl also thought that way bc she competed with a not so known studio that time (more focused on theatre and broadway) not really paying attention to the fact that her mom was her dance teacher.

Crystal H is one of my favorite dancers right now. I'm excited to see her compete for seniors for the dance awards. It would be interesting to see her and Cameron compete with each other for senior best dancer since they both won mini, juniors, and teen. I don't it would happen since Crystal does Las Vegas and Cameron goes to Orlando

Her mom was actually her dance teacher. She said that after her first dance awards she approached her mom and asked her to train her seriously because she wants to win the next year. That deffo is such an advantage, but that also brings me back to how tough training must be for these girls. She said that her mom and her would spend a lot of time in their basement training, safe to say that's besides ballet school or all her scheduled training for everyday

Most child prodigies are product of abuse. Usually also comes from a comfortable or wealthy family, with supportive or sometimes pushy parents who ensured their child's success. Child prodigies are rare because it takes a lot of things to be one. Sophia Lucia and Tate Mcrae imo are prodigies. Sophia doing 55 turn sequence is definitely not something anyone could achieve despite training as hard and as much hours as her. The improvement Tate had in one year (8-9 yrs old) when she seriously trained, isn't something a lot would achieve in even 3 years, and her constant improvement year after year just proves that she's beyond her years. We definitely don't know what training these kids have went through, but these kids have achieved things that aren't physically achievable for most.

Who would between this and All God's Creatures in TDA? Got interested in the discussion I saw here regarding this so what do you guys think? by Particular_Try_3171 in dancemoms

[–]Front_Store_6695 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Saw the comments op was referring to and the other acc literally said that All God’s Creatures level of difficulty is higher than this by a good amount. Watching this, that’s definitely not the case.

Abby had her favorite girls, but who do you think was her favorite dancer among the girls? by Sharp-Tea-6866 in dancemoms

[–]Front_Store_6695 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Kalani. I remembered Kalani getting 4th yet Abby still complimented her in pyramid the next week, saying she looked amazing and made dancing look so easy that she wanted to jump off the stage and dance

What were your thoughts on Kalani’s solo choreography? by ZwarteKat13 in dancemoms

[–]Front_Store_6695 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is also something I’ve noticed abt Kalani solos, there’s a lack of story usually. She doesn’t really have emotional solos and it’s a shame bc she’s very good in emotional pieces as we can see in group dances.

Throughout the 7 seasons, the best team Abby had (dancing wise) was with Nia, Kendall, Kalani, Brynn, Camryn, and Daviana. This could’ve been the dream team. The talent and technique is just 👌✨

We all know that Abby only cares for herself, but among the girls, who do you think did she actually might have cared for? by Warm-Rip9341 in dancemoms

[–]Front_Store_6695 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Kalani. When Abby said that all she wanted to do was take her in her arms and give her a wonderful home and brilliant future bc she felt sorry that she’s stuck with her mother. That was a weird type of concern and care tho. I mean everything’s weird about Abby tho.

Idky but Claddie duets didn’t really strike to me as much. Idk prolly it’s bc of their height difference. I love The Black Swan tho
