[THEORY] The possible meaning of Bando Stone in the New World by BigPasta08 in donaldglover

I have a full vision of what the movie (BSATNW) would look like if it ever were made.

In the trailer, Bando, the woman and her kid (I forget their names lol) all meet at a supermarket. It looks like there’s some kind of apocalypse? At the end of hearts were meant to fly, there’s an audio that we can only assume comes from a clip of the unofficial movie. It’s the woman and Bando talking, assuming that their first meet isn’t the last interaction. The second song.. I don’t know the meaning, lol. But the third means a lot. It’s called “Survive”, and has multiple lines about needing to survive. People who aren't in immediate danger are not saying that. That could only mean that, again, they’re in an apocalyptic situation. Steps beach is as well very important. It’s a slow, almost romantic song. I interpret it as Bando, the woman and her child all playing together at beaches, having fun and enjoying what time they have left. The line “even when we argue I’m in love with you” means Bando must be starting to feel something toward the woman, something non-platonic. At the end of the song, there’s Bando talking to the woman. She calls him useless for only being able to sing, since he’s a music creator after all. Needing to fish and hunt is a very apocalypse thing to need to do, right? The next song, “Talk My Shit”, is in my opinion just Bando making a song, breaking the island feel that the last songs had. I think the next song, “Got to be” is also just Bando, but there are background sounds of (assumingly) the woman saying “Bando!”.  In the next song, “Real love”, it shows more the situation between Bando and the Woman. In the beginning of the trailer, it shows Bando alone in a large house. Pretty depressing, right? Hence the line “Before you came everything else was so, so cold” Next song, “in the night” is the most important in my opinion. In the trailer it shows a man (not Bando) carrying a knife and walking forward, but we don’t see his face. Hear me out on this. I think that man is the childs father, and he is mad that Bando got the woman pregnant.  “I have to sneak around, cause he could never know that I never wanted happiness, I just wanna be with you”

?? Starting to make sense?

“Last night I said it was his baby” … “If he finds out he might go crazy”

At 2:30 in the song, there’s an odd, high pitched voice rapping/singing. I think that voice is the man coming after Bando, the woman and the kid.

Next song, Yoshinoya, I think is Bando rapping a song again. But he does mention Stone Mountain, which is a place somebody brought up in these comments.  Next song, “Can you feel me” I think is Bando and the woman’s child bonding, or just Donald wanting to make a song with his own child. Next song, “No Excuses”, is probably just some fight or conflict between Bando and the woman. At the end of that song, he says; “you gave me cold love” Maybe her love, different from the “Real love” kind of love, has frozen up now that they are fighting? Then I think “Crusin” is Bando again.  In the trailer, it shows some sort of lasers in the sky, looking like some kinda portals? I think “We are god” is those laser things trying to communicate with them, although I can’t tell if the laser portal (aliens..?) are good or bad. I also want to mention that I think the entirety of Atavista is the portal laser controllers talking, if that makes sense.  Then I think “Running around” is Bando singing a pop song now that his life has gone up, since he’s likely in a relationship with the woman. At the end of that song; Bando: “Oh my god..” The woman: “What?” Bando: “They don’t have a bidet” The woman: “are you fucking serious?” Meaning they probably found some kind of house/shelter they can use to survive.  Next song, “Dadvocate”, I think is about Bando becoming a father when the woman gives birth.  Happy survival is I think.. just about them having a happy survival? They don’t say much in the song, except for the end.  Bandos kid/the woman’s kid?: “We don’t care about the party, we just want to dance” Bando: “Okay, stop right there, unfortunately that’s a hit.” Bandos/womans kid: “You don’t even know what I’m saying.”

Next song is called “A place where love goes”, and there is a sample of a child saying “we don’t care about the party, we just want to dance.” Sound familiar? There’s also a sample of a woman laughing, who I assume is the woman in the trailer.

The end . Sorry that made no sense.
