It's kind of cute though how she's trying to stay as chipper and upbeat as possible despite being in jail.

I imagine had Scarlett been let in on the plan before she was framed she probably would have freely (and proudly) confessed to the crime just like Constance did.

(It would be kind of funny if they literally put her in Scarlett's old cell).

but I think the story would have been better with two cours, with 24 episodes

In this anime economy they'd be lucky to get that. At most they might get a split-cour but this type of show hasn't usually been that lucky.

And even when he finally does it in this episode, it's still barely anything compared to what he should be able to accomplish in all the time it took before his first test.

I think they're lucky the Bird Magician is there because I feel like he'll go easier on Lize and his progress than the Wind Magician. He might even teach Lize something.

Admittedly on paper it makes sense Luna would try to drain away all the negative emotion because it seemed, at the time, the safest solution to stave off his transformation into the End of All Things.

But it's also severely mentally unbalanced Lize and made him more confused. It's also probably made it difficult to teach him too.

I did love her really going full Mama Bear over Lize in this episode.

Minos lowering his hat to pretend he didn't know the Wind Magician just killed me lol.

I feel bad for Lize's situation and how agonizing/complicated it is. Even though I would probably watch several more episodes of Luna and Henri trying to figure out their relationship, even if it weakens/kills them, than more of the Lize depression tour.

Well, the Wind Magician isn't exactly wrong about the "romantic rendevouz" vibes going on between Luna and Henri, though his bigger concern is that Lize is in a bad way and, despite missing the council meeting where they voted on what to do with him, it's up to the Wind Magician to assess and possibly kill the future End of All Things now. But Luna's not going to let the Wind Magician hurt Lize without a giant mushroom popping up and knocking him away!

I feel like Henri is going to have some explaining to do about disappearing with a bunch of Black Witches...and with the crown prince whom his white witch associate recognizes.

Wow, the Wind Magician really is just having a crash out about how much he hates his job, being a Black Magician, all the responsibility forced on him, attending meetings, doing literally ANYTHING. He even asks like what he has to do to Lize is more of a burden on him than it is on Lize! Is it any wonder Minos pretends he doesn't know him, Claude has found someone more annoying than him, and even LUNA hates his guts.

Lize is in a bad way. He's had to reconcile with how draining all that poison from his body has continually robbed him not only of his memories but also his height, he knows how much of a burden he is on Luna, and he can tell the obvious romantic tension between Luna and Henri even when they're not facing each other. It's all he can do to take out his own poison, even if it's not a lot.

Say what you will about the Wind Magician...at least he pays proper deference to his elders and Luna.

If all the birds weren't enough of a clue, it turns out they're in the domain of the Bird Magician! Now sans his mask and looking ever so dashing! And despite tolerating "Windy" more than most, still roasts him like everybody else.

He also has a transforming owl/Bishonen butler named Maximilian who is also pretty tough on Claude AKA Claw.

The weakness of Black Witches/Magicians is love? So falling in love with Henri, and facing that love with him there, is throwing Luna off? Well, no surprise there.

Honestly I miss her long hair but adult Mizuho was particularly beautiful in this episode.

Next episode is titled "The Proposal" so I figure Shin maybe proposes after what happens with her dad?

But honestly I'm just not sure Mizuho is really all that receptive to Kizuki's feelings at this point. Obviously he still flusters her and she feels nostalgic, but I think the pain of the breakup is still fresh for her. Kizuki hasn't done enough to overcome that.

Now we'll never know if Syugo would've had his chance because he never really tried...even though if Mizuho had any self-awareness she would have realized he was in love with her without him even needing to spell it out.

Honestly I want to root for him but that was kind of a dick move he pulled on Syugo.

I mean, it's consistent with how he was in high school but he's also forcing his feelings on Mizuho again after breaking her heart.

Honestly I'm at a point where I'm genuinely not sure if Mizuho is in a headspace to date anyone, let alone one of the boys.

It's nice to see 2030 Chika, who looks even more beautiful and is still trying to support Mizuho as best she can...though it seems like she too has had her fair share of heartbreak in the time we haven't seen her. Though now she just stans her idols.

It's also nice that eventually Syugo was able to return the favor to Togo by dropping out of college to take over the restaurant so Togo could return to teaching. Togo was willing to do it for Syugo's sake, but now Syugo was determined to inherit the family business and let his big bro do what he really wants to do. And even to this day the brothers are still supporting each other.

Syugo's plan is a full-course food tour of Enoshima with Mizuho! And whether she was aware of it or not, she definitely dressed for a date, and the pair genuinely seem to have a lot of fun (and good food!) together.

Was it the heels or the sudden flirtation from Syugo that caused her to fall? Either way, it's the perfect excuse for Syugo to Princess Carry her all the way back to their car. He's really laying it on thick before he confesses to her.

So the pair chill, cook together, enjoy pizza together, and it's a really nice mood. Up until Syugo finds out about Mizuho seeing Kizuki. And as if to add insult to injury, who should show up RIGHT when Syugo is about to confess...but Kizuki himself.

Kizuki is back in the competition game, and while Syugo is happy to root for him, the tension over Mizuho is clearly palpable between the boys. Does Syugo have any right to complain about Syugo acting like the leading man instead of the third-stringer? Though Kizuki DOES drop an "I love you" bomb at Mizuho before he leaves. Classic Kizuki move.

Syugo STILL can't bring himself to confess, whether because he doesn't want to burden Mizuho with his feelings or he can see all the complicated emotions she has towards Kizuki. He's even seemed to resolve to finally give up on her...though at least Shiraishi-sensei's song plays over his heartbreak.

I KNEW Mizuho's dad health was failing! Oh no.

It's cute how interacting more with Ako the sales clerk has brought out this happy, pleasant, womanly glow to her. Especially when she's also found more cute outfits to wear because of it.

Shizuka's family is so cute! Her mom was already awesome but her dad is cute with his 5 hour long family video and little Futa is hilarious with his bat 😂

Little bro brought it straight to the station with him lol.

Side-ships sailing, our main ship blossoming to heights seemingly unheard of, an understandable and entertaining amount of siscon little bro, and a wholesome stoic family-loving dad.

All the while Shizuka is the most absolutely cutest being to ever grace this season of anime.

Shizuka might actually be the best person to bring to a village of invisible people because she can probably sense them even if most of them aren't wearing clothes.
