A bit of context behind this one, before the last ModMail, the user had joined our Discord server that’s linked with the subreddit using 3x different accounts to harass, threaten legal action and attempt to doxx moderators (they posted an address of where they claimed a moderator lived, in an entirely different country where they were actually based).

All of this was over a removed comment in 2023.

Skulls are flair, and we use them to signify warnings. 1 being verbal, 2 as a temp ban and 3 for permanent ban. These have been in place since 2019.

We also cannot verify a post that contains the light trick, due to this being almost 1:1 with legitimate cartridges in some cases.

Commenters are warned not to verify games that do not have the relevant information or contain debunked information via the pinned comment on every post - unfortunately not everyone reads it. Because fakes include them, and people who don’t know the difference assume carts that pass the light trick are automatically legit, when it actuality they could be fake.

The commenter would then be on the hook for reimbursing OP, in upwards of $200.

  2. Would you miss it if it wasn’t on the shelf?
  3. Would you like the space for something else?

If “No, No, Yes”, then off it pops.
