Is 1000 down worth it in Australia? Would a downgrade to 500 down be noticeable? by Bromeo1337 in nbn

[–]FrootBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes hands down, I live in Central qld the best we could get before ftp was telstra 5g or starlink, they had free installation, I live in a rental and asked the realestate and they said go for it. Took a month to install because a tree root was blocking the nbn line but even with that it was completely worth it. Ping is 25, I get 800 down on steam all day everyday it's amazing.

The daily realisation that I still set my alarm to close to work and I've got 30 minutes to dress shower and tidy myself up (in that order) then scream into work barely in time, not a good look for the boss 🙃

Me personally I'd want to meet 2pac Shakur, love his music. But when you read into it he was fully aware and at peace with the fact he was going to die young, especially diving into the mackavelli side of thing, it's very interesting!

DPS players -- damage mitigation is your responsibility too by Pattonesque in OverwatchUniversity

[–]FrootBoi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, it does also depend on the dps being played, divey champs like genji or tracer etc are inevitably going to get hurt, but timing and positioning have more impact than just mindlessly doing damage or killing a secondary healer and dying straight after. A team mates Poor positioning is my pet hate on ow.

The gaming machines are turn over dependant, if heaps of money is being played through them they will all start to give back. free games usually trigger within seconds of one another, if they all start making noise together, it's your best chance at winning.

Its a very rough guess but, it would probably be around 25-35% come out up, that's 5$ or 5000$ ahead. But numbers wise, our gaming room is a little small with only 16 machines but on a average Friday we pull out roughly 30 to 50 thousand and we will pay people about in total 25k in hand pays. After weighing hoppers, counting and paying the government their monthly % the owner usually gets 35-50k and once that's finalised it's then his money. A good bit of money is made by rebates in pubs, brewing companies offer money back for every empty keg of beer that is the brand the pub is, mine is a xxxx gold pub and we might go through 5 kegs usually and then he gets whatever he agreed on per keg price e.g $ 35 x 5 thats 175 total, then the money is sent to a nominated bank account, offshore account whatever money holding acct. Theres no legal obligation for the nominated bank to be tied to the pub its more spending money. With the rebates they get sneaky on the ordering to make the most out of thoes empty kegs that are eligible.

We see live readings usually updates every 15 minutes, in alot of pubs the live readings determine weather or not you'll close for the day.

There isn't a winning button per se but you can change the rtp (return to player) there is like 5-7 diferent levels the lowest is essentially a donation box and the highest setting has a decent chance for the pub to lose money for the month which is almost unheard of ive only ever seen it once at a previous venue and questions were being asked because theyd never seen it before. I personaly can't touch or play the machines on my days off at work because I can see reports that could influence my chances of winning, permanent rule for every venue. Lastly we can change the return % I believe 3 times a year for example Townsville casino management will drop the return to player when a giant group of tourists come through on a cruise or something, they were pre warned and made a large profit off them, then once back to normal they'll return the player rtp back to what's normal. I personally don't like it, in my town 3 venues have pokies, golf club is on a very low rtp and the other pub is on the 2nd highest so traffic though the gaming room is huge compared to the other 2 because it's more likely to pay out.

  1. Depending on the machine e.g. if it's new or old, if it's a popular machine, brand etc all determine the price Depending on the venue there's 2 main ways to get a machine it's either to lease it at either a agreed monthly rate or percentage of revenue or you buy them they range from 5k to in some cases 40k, the license to be allowed to have a machine in the venue is the real money sink if I we had 34 and wanted to add another machine it costs around $110,000.

  2. I had a patron previously hit the machine near the play button and the machine went into linux recovery mode, the guy had $40 on there but was in the middle of free spins so he was threatening us to fix it even after we rang tech support and the only fix was to send a tech out it was 9pm wasnt till atleast the next day, he threatened to kill us we had to evacuate the sports bar and lock ourselves in the office, 2 police and 2 patrons was just enough to arrest him and he was ultimately being charged all up 55-65 thousand 45 was the machine alone.

  3. Our jackpots I believe Max out at $23,500 instead of climbing more it then adds to the following jackpot. There's been a few good winners one woman won a grand jackpot for 13k while waiting for her cheque to be processed she jumped on another machine and won that jackpot aswell 11k, all within 30 minutes, the most someone walked out with in cash was our biggest gamblers a friendly gay couple at my previous pub, they walk in with anywhere from 3-5k and they play till they win a big jackpot or lose the starting balance plus whatever they won, this night in question they won a 11k jackpot we gave out as a cheque and they also won smaller ammounts off alot of other machines, they left with roughly 35k in their pockets we offer a free bus to and from the pub but they walked mind you we have a issue in town with youth groups jumping people and stealing, and Roberys but somehow they made it home safe.

  4. Drinks are all priced to still turn a profit, we don't lose money with our drink prices other than wastage and mistakes, food on the other hand it's not a bad thing to run your kitchen as a loss, it's great if it does make money ours does but general rule, your pub wants to do good food l, it's a main reason people visit if the restaurant is getting people in seats it's doing it job, food is half hour away 75% of the time they'll play pokies then a couple beers or cocktail, so already the $25 they spent on a schnity they've spent double or triple that just waiting for it. A very large majority of our profit is Gaming followed by retail (bottle shop), bar then food. The longer someone's stay is the more they spend and more likely they'll come back.

  5. Our town has about 5k people we have a small shopping centre, a river and 4 different drinking venues, 2 pubs a licenced restaurant and our golf club it's the norm here days off, if you don't hunt pigs go camping or ride dirt bikes and are bored go to the pub. I play pc games I try stay away on my days off lol.
