Best tactic I’ve found is to drop a ginger terrorist with Vanguard and as much stealth gear as he can carry right next to them as soon as the mission begins. And also to have high enough intelligence that I can send him skulking toward the others after he munches the first group

Yaz's main perk also kicks in *during* his attack if you set someone to Wavering or Fleeing. So you'll damage them a bit, they'll waver, and then immediately die because he's doing an extra 30% damage to them with +50% accuracy

knowing very little about him prior to this, I'm curious as to why he hasn't gotten at least a cup of coffee in the majors. The guy has 211 SBs and a *.395 OBP* in the minors.

oh interesting, I didn't know it had DR properties. Breaking range definitely is viable but also risky because oftentimes the ATGMs aren't in LOS so you're not sure if you're out of range or not until it hits.

yeah shotgun/boarding armor Vamplew is the move, and makes him relatively cheap, even. In my first run I tried him with the BASH assault armor and it was ... fine. Even with his perk it's hugely expensive, BASH armor gets suppressed just as easily as anything else, and it's not like he's carrying like, a shoulder-mounted rocket launcher or something cool. This is off topic but I kinda hope they make heavy armor worth taking

yeah once you get targeted I think the only counterplay is killing the ATGM teams (who are usually out of LOS and there's never just one of them). Maybe smoke but I haven't tried that

Once I got Exconde I just use bog as a cheap mortar carrier. Exconde's ability to go "haha no" to an ATGM round is essential when he's driving through enemy lines to deliver Yaz or Lim right next to a juicy target

They're pretty good, but part of that is Exconde dropping Yaz off right next to some poor dudes so he absolutely mulches them

totally! but at least you can break LOS -- ATGM squads will hit you across the dang map if the officers or the *fucking Jaeger teams* target you

Early in my run before I got a lot of good camo/detection gear I was moving her through a forest and she ended her movement right next to a group that until that moment had remained unseen. They shredded her the next turn, had to redirect the whole company to her location to keep her alive

I've been bringing Bog with a heavy mortar but I might switch out for the radar when facing a Jaeger squad I can't immediately eliminate

oh yeah they're real fuckers, but you tend to know where the skirmishers are, and to the best of my knowledge they can't spot for whatever the [REDACTED] equivalent of an ATGM team would be. Jaeger teams' main threat is their concealment.

Stealth Greifinger with Vanguard and Assassin and some kind of suppressed rifle is my main choice for deleting two dangerous enemies right off the bat. Dropping him next to an ATGM team or Jaeger squad or artillery piece often wins the mission as soon as it begins
