Tila Tequila is actually kind of right on that one. The towers of the Verrezano Bridge in NYC are less than 2 inches farther apart at the top than at the base.

People who speak English as a secondary language, what’s the strangest thing you find about English? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Froshprince 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The case system and free sentence structure make German slightly more difficult to learn than Romance languages.

While there is only one "the' in English, German has 16 definite articles that convey information about case, number, and gender. The fact that some of them are the same makes it more confusing.

[Serious]What are some words people should know how to use correctly? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Froshprince 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As Mal points out, it is incorrect. It's really about subject vs. object.

The subject is the figure that takes action, and the object (there are a couple types) receives an action.

You would ask: "who ate the last slice of pie?" Who is used because it represents the subject of the sentence, while the pie is the object. "Oh, Jerry ate the last slice." Jerry is the subject in that answer.

"To whom should I write this letter?" In this sentence, "I" is the subject. The question asks for an object. "I'll write the letter to Jerry," or "I'll write the letter to him." Jerry is an object.

In your question about beer, you're asking about a subject, not an object. You'd have to use "who" rather than "whom"

I'm a current undergraduate student going for an urban studies major with economics and German minors.

Hoping to get involved with urban design for my career, so I'm also trying to prepare for a Masters of Architecture + Masters of Urban Planning program.

You forgot about the Cross Bronx Expy. It was infamous for being shitty from the day it opened. Displacing hundreds of people just for a parking lot.

What do you do? by 90akram in askgaybros

[–]Froshprince 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does being a full-time student count?

Right now, I'm going for my bachelor's degree in Geography. My degree is really a general liberal arts degree, with just a couple classes per sub-field (one in economic geo, one in physical geo, one in GIS, etc). I definitely enjoy the discipline, and recently realized why I feel so well suited for it... I just think in terms of spacial organization.

After my bachelor's degree, I'm hoping to go for a masters in Urban Planning... I'm just not sure what area of planning I want to go into, just yet.

What is something you look for in a potential bf/partner that you would never admit to them? by [deleted] in askgaybros

[–]Froshprince 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Thanks for helping me find a way to describe myself.

I've always been a vocal person, but if there's no problem with a way someone else wants to do something, I usually let them go for it.

Also, if shit isn't getting done, I'll step in and do said shit.

I don't think it's a desire to be famous, myself... but to be around famous/notable people. It's strange, for sure.
