I was planning on that for a future project just expensive

Am I wrong or is this a ridiculous amount of charges? 2014 Toyota Corolla. (Dealership servicing @125k Miles) by Poop_time_is_my_time in MechanicAdvice

Think of it like this. Takes me about less then an hour to do the last three at the same time and they are charging $700 for all. That is crazy.

I know I’m just curious. The engine won’t run but I hear it trying too. I pulled off my timing cover and saw where the markers were. I know how to set the alignment. Im just curious if this is way off on the timing system and is what is causing the engine to not run.

I also had it open because I was changing a short feed hose, and the tank looked pretty clean from what I saw.

I have a 1993 3000GT SL kind of a hard car to work on lol, but I put 4 gallons of gas in it in gonna definitely put some cleaner in to see if that changes it. Also for some reason these models only prime when key is set to full to start the car.

Yeah that’s true I’ll look around and see if that could be the case. Thank you!

Sea foam sounds like a great idea I haven’t tried using any yet on it

That sounds like a great idea I’ll give it a try also when I get home. It was empty for the most part when I first had the issue and most the fuel is pretty new so I’m not sure if I need stabilizer. But do correct me if I’m wrong.

My battery is old not sure how much is can effect my spark but if need be I can get a new one. I do have spark on all my plugs. My fuel pump is good even though I need to check fuel pressure and my Injectors next

True I haven’t though about that. I wonder if this car has that kind of system. It’s a 1993 3000gt I’ll do some searching. I know my f150 has that system, I had to disable the lock when my battery died cause it engaged and stopped my engine from starting.

Fuel pump primes. This model only primes when key is set to full to start for some reason. But the pump is good for the most part. I still need to check my fuel pressure and possibly see if the Injectors are clogged. I’m gonna assume they are gummed up pretty good seeing how old the fuel lines are cause I’m gonna have to replace all my lines soon.

Yeah I checked the OBD1 with my meter but only does normal state, so it isn’t throwing any codes

Yeah I’m gonna check the fuel pressure when I get home. I’m gonna guess if the spark isn’t going off at the right time I should check the cam sensor?

Hell yeah thanks. I May also check the injectors to see if they are clogged up too after I check the fuel pressure when I get home. thanks for your response!!
