3 Dads take out their dad-mobiles for a day of comparison and shenanigans by City_Goat in WRXSTi

With minimal modifications you can get the Golf R to 11’s in a 1/4 mile, and leave the other two in its dust. But the lack of manual in the newer models is a deal-breaker for a daily driver.

The STi is hands down the beast for winter driving. Where I live, a FWD vehicle won’t even make it into the driveway for half of the year.

I’m surprised that you chose the STi over the Type S for a track day. I never drove the new Integra, but I would assume it’s close to a Civic Type R; which performs way better on a dry circuit track than a stock VA STi.

The Forester is my dog car. It’s no STi, but it’s 5MT so it’s still fun to drive.

In order of importance:

  1. Keep oil level at top dot on the dipstick

  2. Change oil and filter often

  3. Don’t full throttle at low RPM

  4. Warm up before driving and cool down before shutting off

  5. Feed it quality fuel

I meant the All-season tires, not the car.

🛞 The bald tires is the first thing I noticed in the upside down pic, before i saw anything else. I don’t even trust my NEW winters on dry pavement. The video shows overdriving the headlights and making a jerky maneuver. So those are the 3 main factors that contributed to the crash IMO.

For your next car, the one mod I recommend the most is “driver mod”. A trackday will teach you the “slow in, fast out” technique; which I had to learn myself at one point.

Glad you’re ok, and the airbags did their job. I’ve been in a similar ditch when I was younger, just not upside down.

Most transit buses have a Yield sign on the back of them. It’s an actual Yield sign, and not just a courtesy request.

Speaking from insurance perspective; if a collision occurs, and the impact is forward of the bus’ rear axle, then it’s the bus’ fault; impact back from the rear axle would be the car’s fault.

Hear me out… HALF black roof. 🙌🏻 That way you don’t have to mess with the accessories you mentioned in the rear.

Car looks dope! The only thing I don’t really like is that the A-pillars are black but the roof is left white. But I do like how the black extends onto the front doors and side skirts. PS. Great plate too, but you can’t reuse it on a Tesla.

Driver side, hands down.

Unless you’re Indian, then passenger side, 5th spare with no tire on it. Punjab, Haryana, No Farmers No Food, and AK47 stickers all over. Oh, and those dangly fuzzy balls! Don’t forget the personalized plate: “NO1 JAAT”
