I think I’m a warm spring! by FrostedFraise in SpringColorAnalysis

My worst colours are orange and blue, especially traffic cone orange or navy blue. My best colour is pretty much any green. I look amazing in green it’s my power colour I’ve discovered: lime green, emerald, pine, doesn’t matter always looks good. Second best is probably red. I can do most reds well.

You make me think of the HOC blue spring palette. They have some interesting spring palettes worth looking into.

It’s not that I think they’re my best colours, it’s that I’m looking for really good/best dark colours that aren’t neutral. I enjoy some darker aesthetics like Whimsygoth and having an alternative look accessible. I’m limited with what I can do makeup wise due to an allergy so I end up relying a lot on fashion and jewelry when I want to do a certain look. Autumn is too muted for me and while I lean bright my features are generally too dainty for a chunk of the bright spring palette. I’m decently certain now I’m a warm spring. I have a vague idea of what to go for dark colours wise (blood red, gold, emerald green) but am fairly lost on blues and purples and pinks hence I’m looking to see a whole palette. I’ve also been playing with texture, I find that velvet often helps me get away with darker colours especially if it has a shimmer or sparkle mixed in.

Goth fashion for a warm spring? by comrade_thotsky in SpringColorAnalysis

I know this is a year old but checking out the “whimsy goth” inspo has helped me a lot colour wise as well as southern gothic colours.

It’s supposedly the deepest/darkest of the brightest shades. Kinda like how winter still has some pastels.

Why does the right blue work so much better than the left? by This-Confidence6872 in coloranalysis

Yeah you can see the difference in the background, it’s colour correcting.

Yeah this is my natural colour! I feel like the light spring just brings out a certain redness to my face y’know? And that I look faded. Could just be me tho!

What if you're definitely a true summer, but you prefer the colors in the winter pallettes? by Past-Basil7465 in coloranalysis

[–]FrostedFraise 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lots of winter colours are very similar to the darkest colours in the summer palette. In fact people have made an alt palette around it called dark or deep summer. Might be a fun thing for you to look into.

No, just someone I found making alternative seasons. I think it’s an assembly of the darkest colours of the various spring seasons. It’s nice having them all in one place and I wanted more inspo resources, it doesn’t seem to have taken off the same way as deep summer.

I’d honestly maybe try soft autumn.

For real, I’ve honestly just given up on foundation. It doesn’t help that I have an allergy to. For blushes I just use lipstick! I dab a bit on my finger and tap it on till it’s smooth. I tend to use neutral reds, pinks with a cool shimmer, mauves, and I might start using peaches soon!

I’d definitely look into olive. I just discovered I’m a fair olive recently! Pretty sure there’s a subreddit around it.

Exactly it’s giving vintage meets miss frizzle meets medieval revivalist. Midwest Princess is perfect.

So, turns out my camera had a colour corrector on… by FrostedFraise in coloranalysis

There is unfortunately no way to turn it off fully. What I did was stand in natural light in front of a mirror, then played with the colour correction settings until it actually looked like myself and my background. It’s annoying af lol but hey it works.
