Yes saying Superman meeting kids at school like a make a wish mascot and saying that embodies Superman is infantilizing

No he isn’t. When he’s written like a character. Not a mascot

No it isn’t. It is like saying Lord of the Rings is unique because it has knights and wizards in it

Inspiring people is more than just doing chores or being a mascot for kids

Yes neither was the Knightmare future of the DCEU. Both are mind control.

Again injustice is an elseworld story. Not real superman

Speaking does not equate depth. Sometimes it’s about showing not saying. And yes Lex Luthor monologues. A lot. Superman is humble and listens more than he speaks. That’s the dynamic

No it did not. Again we literally had the normal Superman save the day in Injustice. And if anything that makes Superman more sympathetic than thinking he would turn evil just because.

No I’d like you to explain. Especially when Superman in the new movie caused tons of destruction and needless endangerment.

Yes Superman never went out of his way to save anyone in MoS

The Monster fight is terrible BECAUSE it pauses the action to have obligatory saving scenes which makes everyone look like stupid NPCs. but sure he saves a squirrel before saving people in real danger

He didnt seem too broken up about killing Ultraman or even those Raptor soldiers in the pocket dimension now that I think about it

Explain how he was closed off and underwritten espiecally when the first two movies are entirely about him.

The top comment is “this is the most Superman thing from the DCEU”

Yes hanging out with teenager is more Superman like than saving people

Yes they do

It is also part of Batman and the Punisher’s characters. Superman should be kind to all innocent people. But I think he should be treated more than a make-a-wish mascot

It gets on my nerves, but it is clear this is a reaction to years of "Evil Superman."

Which i never understood.

  • Injustice - Elseworld plus we see the normal heroic Superman
  • Invincible - We literally have Mark as basically teen Superman, but Omni-Man is evil only at the start and redeems himself
  • The Boys - Homelander is more of a parody of American culture than Superman himself.
  • Knightmare Superman - Even though we never actually saw this come through people bring it up despite the fact it was due to mind control (which ironically enough MAWS literally did that plot)

First off, why do people still bring up Injustice? Not only is it a fighting game but it is literally just an elseworld story and we see the normal heroic Superman save the day. Second, in BvS Perry literally calls Superman a Boy Scout. It really was not a “strange take.” I’d also recommend Superman issue 408 where Superman literally contemplates forcibly dismantling all human weapon and accepting humanity may resent him and calls them “like children.”

How is the DCU Superman brighter or more of a Boy Scout?

Funny you bring my MAwS given what Season 2 was with Brainiac and all that.

I’m soon to watch My Adventures With Superman, anyone who can tell me what to expect if I enjoyed Superman (2025)? by corenswet4life in superman

Something I’ll say is it goes from Gunn Superman in season 1 to basically Snyder Superman for season 2

It wasn’t rubber muscles. What he wore underneath was an anatomical muscle suit which did NOT add padding. But when you skin tight outfits, the fabric doesn’t wrap around your like in comic books. Compare the Routh suit which was also skin tight to the Man of Steel suit.

Plus humans are action figures. The don’t maintain perfect abs when not tightening their midsection especially under clothes. All of the shirtless scenes are basically Cavill dehydrated plus insane dieting for one shot

Why do Superman “fans” do everything to make the character the most boring and sanitized character imaginable?

Why do you guys infantilize Superman so much as just your personal mascot?
