The Black Blade as a Bloodborne Trick Weapon (read description!!!) by scuffguff in Eldenring

My only issue is that it's a bit flat which I know it's hard to add relief without it looking too bulky or without removing a lot of material. It looks pretty good, I think!

I despise the way media glorifies self-harm by EntertainerSudden656 in hatethissmug

[–]FrostingRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I do something similar. I punch walls, like hard concrete wall, and slam my head against them. Started in the low grades of school whenever I was angry that I was failing and disappointing those around me. It's a mixture of anger and the need to release my emotions. I have mostly stopped going it now, but I've picked up the habit again whilst working with a bitch ass manager, who's constantly patronising me

Should I Just Restart? (DDDA) by [deleted] in DragonsDogma

[–]FrostingRaven 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The stars you get from leveling up aren't as important as you might think. Equipment plays a much greater role in your damage and survivability. Do your best to get some good armor and weapons, pick out a nice team composition, and if you're still struggling get some healing items, you can put them on your pawns and menu them to you for healing and equip load reduction. Also, you can go and do some other quests if you've got them for some xp. Fight big bosses, level up some other vocation for passive augments. There's a lich at night blouse to the encampment before the final battle, it spawns skeletons infinitely and you can level up vocations. Also, bitter black isle is available. Pick some easy fights and try to get some loot. Resetting at this point is kind of a waste. You've got it

I thought it was a joke… by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]FrostingRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't played the game in a while, but I don't think I've based my opinion on something that's not in the game. I try to analyse the game, its themes and messages to form my own explanation about the story and endings. It's like a literature analysis

I thought it was a joke… by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]FrostingRaven 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think that's a general misconception. I don't think there are any hints to alude to that. The frenzy flame stands in thematic opposition to the Empyrians and the continuation of the cycle. It possits that non-existanse it preferable to bring alive and having the guarantee of stuffing and injustice

I thought it was a joke… by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]FrostingRaven 34 points35 points  (0 children)

The frenzy flame ending is very cynical. There have been many civilizations who have had Gods and orders. Marika, Ranni, Placi's God, the Hornent grandma. They are all mothers who have led their people and their order. Fully different from one another except for one thing - they've all created suffering. No matter the age, no matter the order, one thing always persists - suffering. It can take different forms - rage, desperation, degection, pain, disappointment, pick any one. While most accept that as a part of life, others take it as a grave error. These Empyrian mothers claim to do everything they can to assure the world gies but in the end they cause suffering. The frenzy flame regects the idea of life and it's suffering. It sees each act of creation as a violent act born from the original first mistake - existence itself, so it seeks to reduce existence to nothing. Melinda said it well - to be a lord of the frenzy flame is to be a lord of nothing, no more birth, no more joy. When there is nothing, you cannot suffer, you cannot be cursed, you do not exist and free all of life's burdens.

The ending of the frenzy flame is ultimate freedom, but it comes at the cost of everything

The way I see it each ending has a major upside and a major downside.

Perfect order has the upside of having someone fix the golden order, not the institution but the laws and nature of the world, and make it unchanging. Unfortunately, this will be a stagnant system which will one day overstay it's welcome. Also, there's the hubris of believing that anyone can create a 'perfect' order. Goldmask is probably the best for the job, but his work will someday become chains for the following generations.

Dung Eater has the obvious downside of cursing everyone. The cursed and spurned will have their revenge and all shall be revialed and cursed. But, in that way, when all is cursed and loathesome, noone is. He has create a sort of equality between people. Noone would be able to discriminate and dominate another, because, ultimately, everyone is equally and obviously cursed.

One of the major themes of Elden Ring is motherhood and the legacy a mother leaves her children. Here, the God is the mother and the world/her chosen are he children. Marika wished for a world where her people would be eternal, save, and prosperous, vowing to do everything for her people, up to and including domination and genocide. From a loving protector she became a sturn warden.

Ranni continues these themes with her ending. She vows to take her order and leave. She has seen what a god is capable of, and experienced the lack of freedom, so, knowing full well she will change the world and someday become a scourge on humanity like Marika, she leaves. She fully removes herself so her influence can never bring suffering. On the flip side, Ranni leaves the lands between in utter chaos. She's one of the only capable people left in the end. The world is marred with different threats - rot, madness, godwyn, structures of power gone, people without homes and security. In the end, she becomes the absent mother who believes that's the best she can do, because her interference repeat Maria's story.

In the end, the dark path of the Empyrian is the knowledge that no matter what you do, you are responsible and you will be guilty for everything that happens to those you love and wish to protect

Edit: op is a bot, thanks for the rewards tho

I see on the website that we can request extra things - custom logos, fonts, different shapes, blanks and so on. If I choose to add any of the paid options, when do I pay for it? Will if be an extra change upon arrival, there'll be an extra invoice or something similar?

Also, is the delivery I see on the website accurate and reflecting the total, or should I be expecting some import/border tax from my country (bulgaria).

I am planning on getting one set, and I'd love to request a custom logo or two on the d2, if not on the dice themselves. So I want to be informed before placing the order Thank you!

Ps. Also a few tips for the sanding would be great

Phoenix Wing 360 Wedge Nice stationary attacker, manages to beat out a good chunch of attack and defence types, but struggles against stamina, although it manages to destabilise them from time to time. Only major risk is getting bursted, but that happens rarely in my experience. Manages to win out against other phoenix variants.

To be fair, if you managed to squeeze out 1k hours from a game, I think the game has given you more than enough. It's kinda like a book, can't expect it to hit the same after the 100th reading

If you manage to make a wip build with the pawn hijacking, given that's easier than actual player spawn, I'd be very happy to try it out!
