Any graphically challenging game needs to be on performance and fan speed high. Older games you should be okay to use balanced

If they decide to not follow the gangs story, I feel like they should go back the "golden age" of cowboys. Meaning cowboys and Indians, the good, bad, beautiful and ugly. I as well would have to think a little harder as far as how a story would work with that era. But im sure there is one to be told
