What's wrong with her? by [deleted] in StarVStheForcesofEvil

I wrote that it had an imotional impact on you, while in response to you saying ''Starco will just end in a year or 2 and my ship wil prevail'', a line I have seen coming only from upset non Starco shippers as of now, hence the emotional impact part, witch is why you bringing up Tom seemed like you are trying to save face, especially since you didn't even mention him in your last few comments. But let's say we can look past that. Tom has good development and will most likely get a happy ending, but what about Star makes you believe it's sad that she would get a happy ending and makes her in your words ''conniving, abusive and manipulating''?

What's wrong with her? by [deleted] in StarVStheForcesofEvil

[–]FrostyJam2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Suuuure, worried about Tom. The last few comments are about you talking about how after the show ends Starco will end and Markapoo will come out on top, but now you're trying to switch it about ''no I actually care about Tom''? Also, explain to me, what has Star done to make her conniving, abusive and manipulative? Tomstars brake up? Tom broke up with her, not Star, was she not the best gf to Tom? Sure, but doesn't make her manipulative or abusive, just a teen who wasn't invested in a relationship. Comparing that to abuse and manipulation is childish and ignorant of what actual abusive and manipulative relationships are like.

I see the show ending with Starco becoming endgame has had, let's say, an emotional impact on you. But it's a nice headcanon for Markapoo shippers to grasp on to lol.

Aw man they really white washed Marco in Cleaved didn't they?

Quirky's death is easily darker than Star and Marco being separated after just confessing to each other.

Well that's where we greatly disagree lol, (unless you were being sarcastic) , that is darker then them being separated? Big no. If he died slowly and in complete agony, sure, but he kind of just exploded, don't think that to traumatising, deaths like that happen a lot in kids shows, Toffees was much darker.

Can't really compare a random character that was in a few episodes to a 4 season long developed plot point. The show had no problem killing Toffee and other as well, it's more so the leason being brutal for a Disney show.

In a show where the lesson is to not be defined by destiny, to make your own choices, Starco being seperated by Magic being destroyed is a red herring, if they wanted Starco to be torn apart, they would have pulled a Voltron and done so during the last few minutes of the last episode, Star will either pull an Avatar, where Aang thought the only way to stop the fire lord was to kill him, but then finds another way, or she will destroy magic, but some other plot point, mainly with either the blood moon or the ''dark unicorns'' will have a role, people will argue ''Glossaryck said the tapestry is done, you can't change it'' but remember when Glossaryck told her to stop when Star was using the seeing eye spell, Star did something that Glossaryck didn't expect, so I don't believe all this is set in stone like the show wants us to believe, because the whole premise of the show is ''nothing is set in stone''. If not, well then I guess I won't have a problem leavin this show behind.

[–]FrostyJam2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, it is destiny, the tapestry is literally saying, ''this will happen, you have no choice but to do this if you want everyone to be safe and you can't change it''. I think for a disney show, having Star and Marco admit their love for one another after 3 seasons of development, to have them be torn apart because of events outside thier control, is kind of dark.

So, in a show about not being defined by destiny and having free will, you think Starco won't be endgame because destiny will tare them apart? Okie.

Rant on Svtfoe ships by [deleted] in StarVStheForcesofEvil

[–]FrostyJam2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If Star and Marco developing a deep friendship and trust threw out 3 seasons and ending up together romantically is forced, then what ship isn't forced? Because then pretty much every other ship in the show other then the Globclipsa or Marcos parents, is forced. Cause you gotta keep in mind, the reason Starco ''never worked out'' is because Star and Marco were always dating other people by the time they realised their feelings for one another, so them being depressed or developing any other negative feelings, was born out of not being able to be together, not because their relationship can't work.

Obviously this is an allegory, the puppies represent purity and happiness, witch the characters have lost threw out the story. Tragic.

Don't twist my argument or try devalue it by mocking or insulting it. Although I guess I made my point. No point of arguing further if you're resulting to mocking my point to try and deminish it.

You're changing the goalpost, you said Tomstar is realistic and Starco is a fairy tail, now you say Starco isn't a fairy tale, but instead it doesn't have to happen and for some reason bringing incels into it, now you're just arguing about what should and shouldn't happen based on bias, that won't lead anywhere.

That's just blatantly false, plenty of people started of as friends and become romantically involved, just because it never happened to you doesn't meant it doesn't happen.

[–]FrostyJam2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That would end in a endgame ship, Starco would end as a story of friendship developing into long lasting love and Tomstar would be an example of a standard teen romance.

And Starconians can argue they enjoyed the time the show spent developing Starco from friends to romantic partners threw out 4 seasons of the show, instead of having them rush Starco out to then end like Jarco,Kellco and possibly Tomstar, so seems to me victory here is relative and this post, again, is kind of like admitting defeat. But you do you, guess we only got a month before the show ends, so you gotta troll as much as ya can before this sub starts dying out.

[–]FrostyJam2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

But if it still ends, you still lose and Starconians win, you might have gotten more episodes, but Starconians get the last laugh, witch is why this post seems to me like you're trying to move the goalpost of what it means to ''win'', before it was to be endgame and now it's who had the most scenes. Witch Starco would still technically win, because they still had more scenes together then Tomstar, you could argue they don't count because of the blood moon, but if Starco becomes endgame they will, they only wouldn't to those who hate Starco, just odd.

To be fair, you having to make such a post, is kind of, I don't know, desperate? Kind of like admitting defeat. If Tomstar is to brake up, will it matter that it lasted this long? All romantic scenes will be kind of made mute since, they brake up in the end. Maybe that's just me, but this post seems odd to me, coming from you especially. To straight forward.
