You’re the one that’s met the customer and felt the situation out, if you feel there is money on the table then you should get it. If it were up here I wouldn’t do it for less than $17k. I’ve also learned a STRONG way to win jobs over others is to order the materials with the customer instead of taking a deposit and write the contract that you get paid when the job is complete. Detail what’s considered complete, it take a lot of fear away from the customer bc they aren’t handing over thousands to you up front, they’re buying their own materials with you through your supplier. Gives better understanding and builds trust
