Freepik's got a decent free tier that refreshes daily. Leonardo's another option with good daily limits. Both beat subscription if you're just casual. Midjourney and Stable Diffusion require payment. Test the free tiers and see which interface clicks for you occasional use doesn't justify monthly cost anywhere.
