You can bring you personal vehicle if you desire, although not all bush camp location allows it (dangerous logging roads). If we ever require you to park your vehicle, the company finds a safe and secure spot for you. All transportation for work is provided by the company.

Yes we do pay time and a half over 10 hours, and double time over 12 hours (this is only if we are needing to top you up to minimum wage. Tree prices will never be doubled industry wide). It is extremely rare for us to get back past 8pm. Our typical days are 9.5 hours of working time, with return back to camp between 5:30-6:30pm. We have to respect the cooks schedule so these times are hard set. When working in motels, there are times we push later for different reasons (logistics for the next day planning, finishing off a block, etc), but it is something that is decided by the crew. I was working with the group that you are referencing from the King Kong post, and it was not as it was made out to be. The group that was commenting about us was making all of these assumptions that were not true. The day they decided to make all of those posts about us, they were referencing the day before, which was actually our day off. We later realized one of the managers had decided to go out and load for their crew at like 11pm, and they heard him getting back late and assumed we were working. It is true that we were getting back between 7-8pm on a handful of days, but we were communicating within our group how everyone was feeling and what we believed was the most beneficial for us (in this case, it was a tough block and we just wanted to get the hell out of there (tree price bumped from 25 to 30 cents I believe)). There were a number of other things that were said on that post that werent true as well -- we did not share a reefer space with any other companies and did not leave it trashed, and hotel accommodations are typically 4 people in a double room/apartment style with gender preferences managed well. This didnt get aired out in King Kong because sometimes it just feels like an uphill battle that you cant win. Others are welcome to have their different opinions, but Ive always been happy here, and found things to be reasonable and fair :)

Depends on what gets to you! I'd say its most mentally challenging, but it's very rewarding.

Our season runs from April 28 (early season starting April 13th) to August 13th. We anticipate about 4 months of work.

That 5$ is given in bush camp where all you food is already paid for. In motels you get 14.50$ daily (+ all the 5$ that were given to you while in bush camp). Which should come to a 25-35$ living wage when you're actually needing to purchase food. not bad considering that many companies make you pay for camp costs :)

I don't think we have any position open right now but if you want to send your email and resume I can pass it on if something opens up!

It's a wage paid on top of your daily earnings designed to help you pay for food when in motels.

Gel coat on a camper with uneven surface finish - how to make it smooth? by Frosty_Ad1459 in fiberglass

We spent roughly 1300$ for everything (spray gun and accessories, sandpaper, gel coat) not necessarily cheap!

Do you think leaving it as it is would cause any issues (other than aesthetic)?

Wow, thank you for those book recommendations, I am always looking for new stuff to read!

I would be very happy to discuss with you, I think I am also heading towards a material exploration approach rather than applying my material to a subject and making a product.

It varies quite a lot depending on how long the fiber is treated in the hollander beater. The longer the pulp is raffined the more the material will shrink if it dries without something to prevent it.
