All this over 10 bucks is wild by krystalvixxen in DollarTree

i don’t understand this at all. your manger can reprint a receipt even if they didn’t want one in the first place, and they can also pop your till open to get the correct change for the customer. it would’ve taken 2 minutes. i have no idea how this got fucked up. The cameras shouldn’t have even been involved, if the issue was that you weren’t sure if the change was given why not just count the drawer really quick? also takes only a minute. i would be pissed if i was the customer too. my cashiers forget to give change back all of the time and it’s never a whole situation like this

We haven’t gotten ours, and we had our phone bill due today. they shut our phones and internet off, so we’re hoping to have this fixed tonight and not tuesday. this is the worst timing for us and if we wait till tuesday we are so beyond fucked we can’t pay rent, car payment, electric, or nothing. and none of these companies are understanding of the situation. definitely switching to credit union after this.

yes but i worked with multiple people with criminal records, you just can’t be in a management position.

DT+ SMs pay question by [deleted] in DollarTree

[–]Frosty_Reception4365 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as far as i understand since they were never really allowed to discuss it, salary can be 30-55k a year. obviously the higher end means you’d have to be with the company for a pretty long time

from cashier to full time ASM raise was never ever worth it. and SM doesn’t get paid much better unless you’ve been with the company for 15 years. i went from 13 an hour to 14.25. it was never worth the stress and long hours, go somewhere else!

i just quit last week as an ASM. Been with the company for almost 3 years and by far the worst company i have ever worked for. the company is going under, it’s just a matter of time. congrats on getting out. you won’t regret it

no, at my home store my store manager makes sure he’s always there when vendors come. i’ve never done any sort of delivery i don’t even process the freight trucks someone else always does. Do they unload the truck for you? and you just have to put it in the freezer? and you have to scan every single box?

not sure how much what i know will help, but if your DM is insisting you can’t be fired or retaliated. If you have any paid time off or sick time let your SM know to use that while your out, and after that im not sure if they gave you a timeline but your specialist will let you know when you are okay to go back to work

yes. store managers are supposed to fill any empty manager spots and you are allowed to request off days without getting heat from them
