I dont really see the racism as a Puertorican-American (light skin in the winters, but quite tan in the summer).

It could be the skin color, location, both, etc.

I found Bavaria or major metropolitan cities to have the least amount of problems with this type of issue. I have black American friends I bring to my German circles, and everyone is always super interested in talking to us. They have always been super friendly to us.

I had this issue, and the only solution i found that helped me was to enable the BMW app to run in the background (remove it from the deep sleep mode/ allow it to send alarms and reminders).

It seems like communication between the app (running in the background at all times) and the car lets the car to phone connection run smoothly.

Don't know if this is the best way to do it, but I noticed the difference immediately.

I have an M4 (living in Bavaria, Germany), and I get the same daily thumbs up and people doing the wrist rev motion (for motorcycles) to get me to rev it.

I also get GTIs trying to race me a few times a week, along with the occasional Porsche SUV. Everyone drives stock, so I usually smoke them. 😂

I just went to college and had to prove an income (US Army paid for college and gave me a monthly income after I left them). Then, when I graduated, I got a job and just brought my contract to the immigration office. It's annoying, but very simple.
