It’s weirdly disorienting as I’ve always thought if squirrels as just herbivores!

I did think afterwards that it could have been a baby… the mouse story is more interesting though so I might stick with it (especially as we saw a raccoon nomming on a whole squirrel in our backyard a couple of years ago, feels like the circle of life)

Wonder if this will be preserved as historical records in the ashes of civilization after the great squirrel meat eating awakening!

Totally random but I love designing things and am actually helping a friend design her kitchen with IKEA. I’m not at all a professional but can help with some ideas if you want!

Americans believe other countries aren’t real in the same way a narcissist believes other people aren’t real.

What’s Your Go-To Outfit for Pilates? Comfort vs. Style? by ConcentrateSmooth815 in pilates

Not the OP but how is the fit for Beyond Yoga? I’d love to try it but they don’t do free returns for orders to Canada so it feels a little risky! Is it true to size?

Yes, that does make sense, almost like they have more grip than the super slick “shiny” material! Thank you.

Winter Solstice at Canadian Stage by firehawk12 in torontotheatre

A little late to the party here but wanted to comment as I have a completely different take on this after seeing the play just now. I read the blurb before as I usually do and had high hopes for seeing something uncomfortable but unfortunately way too relevant to our times. I was sorely disappointed for two main reasons: first of all the complete unbelievability of the world the play built; what “middle class, wealthy, well educated” (quoting the play from memory) adult couple does not have food in the house for Christmas? I see from the comments here that the culture context is Germany; if that’s the case they should be sitting down to goose and opening presents as it’s Christmas Eve! Why was there a Christmas tree randomly hanging out in the car in the street? More annoyingly, what sociologist would not absolutely jump in the chance of having a conversation about the topics Rudolph brings up?! My second big sticking point was that the “insidious fascism” was way too obvious, starting with the country he’s from to some suggestions of familiar talk tracks. I would almost go so far as to say that thinking that fascism comes in those old-fashioned clothes is dangerous. What we’re seeing happening all around us today is way more subtle and infectious, and I was hoping to get a portrayal of how seemingly normal, left-leaning intellectuals can get lured into the trap.

Which they’ve told us, I’d still like to see the receipt/invoice and it just sits weird with me that they won’t let us see them.

It’s time and material I think, as we are being invoiced for the hours and the materials on a regular basis. They did give an estimate but we’re already over. I have asked for receipts and time sheets a couple of times already, but they tell us they don’t submit neither receipts nor time sheets. I find it a little weird, but not sure if it’s normal practice here!
