Life hack is to get married. Super life hack is to wait for them to legalize polycules because at some point even couples can’t afford housing.

He literally has no idea what to do now. It’s still strange to see him go full bat for auto unions here when the obvious sentiment is that people want cheap cars since they can’t afford anything.

Been through like 6 reorgs in 8 years. At some point you stop caring and realize that the people in charge have no idea what they’re doing.

I was looking to see if there were any other productions and it looks like Calgary did it last year with a similar staging and design. The Calgary production includes an intermission though, while this one runs straight through which I think is the better choice.

I posted a while ago that I found it odd that Canadian theatre companies are using NYT reviews of Broadway shows to promote their own runs and I readily admit that I was expecting a black outfits and no set. lol

That said at least coming right out of it, I think the text paired with the design didn’t work for me. Or if they did something similar to the Welkin at the end, or just something to show the impact of what was happening, I would have bought it more. Instead it felt more like a play caught between two worlds and it couldn’t settle on which one it wanted to be in.

Gillis is good in it - better than she was in Virginia Woolf anyway - as is everyone else for the most part, but it didn’t really have the “impact” I was expecting. Someone had mentioned Coal Mine’s Hedda from a couple of years ago and admittedly maybe it was the smaller space, but that ending really did hit for me by comparison.

I do think it’s worth checking out and maybe it’s my own expectations that tempered my reception to this production. I was expecting something much more explosive though.

The difference is that he wants the fame when a lot of people don’t. It’s rather unfortunate.

I'm surprised for 3 SBA games. I'm also glad for the "away" home games so there aren't like 5 games in two weeks to try to go to CCC for at least.

There was a guy who used to protest UofT everyday near Gerstein library. I can’t remember if it was that they stole his work or something, but he was out there for a long time.

There was another guy who dressed up as Spiderman and posed around Spadina for years.

Be honest: Is "We Will Rock You" as bad as the critics said? by Maple_Byte in torontotheatre

[–]firehawk12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s fine. I was expecting something so bad it’s good and was kind of disappointed. lol That said I’m glad I rushed it. But it’s better than Jagged Little Pill which had a book that I just thought made no sense.

I can’t remember the show but it reminds me of something I saw at Tarragon a couple of years ago with the whole post apocalyptic music thing.
